This contest is a little different so we shall see what kind of entries we will get. My friend kittensushi will be co-hosting. She is new here and I thought this would be a great way to introduce her to all of you fantabulous people on this site.
The object of this contest is to look at the number of hours you have spent on this site and write a poem about that length of time. This can be any type of poem. I prefer free form dark poetry and kittensushi prefers free form fleshy poetry. Anything is fine though. We have no problems with anything other then sticky caps. None here or you will be flogged.
1st prize is worth 300 as usual
2nd prize is worth 100 points
3rd prize is worth 50 points
If there are any worthy honorable mentions they will be worth 15 points each
Impress us and help me welcome kittensushi to allpoetry.

Update: Under the same starry roof had to be deleted from the contest. The co host was blocked from commenting. I had a question for this poet and left a comment and sent an IM. I have gotten no response, yet I see that this poet is online. I think it would be fair for all involved if this poem is just removed and we all move forward with this particular contest. We will be closing this contest a bit early. Will close in two hours (800pm MT). This is due to the fact that I and the co host are only able to judge at this time. Thank you all who entered.

What a very clever contest idea...I don't recall ever seeing anything like this before and I already have an idea of how to handle this, it wont be one of your favorites as it doesn't fit into either of the forms you like, but hey, maybe someone reading it will enjoy it. No matter, at least you have inspired me to write something different and that is ultimately why I look for unique contest. Thank you for hosting this and I wish you many great entries. my AP birthday is coming up on Halloween and by then i will be at about 666 hours too
damn i envy the writers that can create on the spot. -
great contest idea, Despair. Everytime I see the total house I've spent at this site, I think of all those unmade beds and unwashed dishes--Not to mention the really important stuff that needs doing, like emptying out the dishwasher so that new unwashed dishes can be washed!!!
Maybe after I sleep on it in my again-unmade bed tonight I'll be able to come up with a poem-idea!
