i have an affinity with the darker side of things. now that we are in the fall season, at least in my part of the world, i am feeling that darkness more and more. i have a personally vested interest in zombies...the undead. i have felt a kinship with the living dead so often in my existence...and my fascination is not going away...i have read some incredible pieces about zombies on this site and i would like to give those of you who choose to write on such subjects a chance to showcase your talent...so please do not be shy...
i would like those of you who enter to think about films such as george
a. romero's living dead films...but i am interested in whatever aspects you would like to use.
my only rules are as follows...
1.) i would like original work so no prewrites. if you have something that you have previously written that you think i might enjoy...i would love to read it so please let me know...
2.) please keep cursing to a minimum...if you feel the need to use vulgarity to express yourself, i accept that...i just do not want to read an overabundance of it.
award system...
1st place - 300 points and gold trophy
2nd place - 100 points and silver trophy
3rd place - 50 points and bronze trophy
honorable mentions will be my decision
now RISE UP my faithful undead...and speak to me...
UPDATE) hey guys, looking over the entries i have received thus far, it occurred to me that i should offer a little more information...
i would really enjoy some seriously dark material here...wether it be blood and gore, psychological, something more along those lines would be great...and please, if you know of anyone who might enjoy a contest such as this, let them know about it...don't be afraid to be daring...or to throw caution to the wind, just let it flow...be dark, be daring, take a chance, and keep writing......outlaw.
