Well of late I am finding myself wandering alone and getting lost in the beauty of things - things most people look past, ignore or don't find beautiful like:
a train at night with its headlight in the mist
an old forgotten cemetry
the building down the street (a concrete silo) that has a little tin room on top - looks really odd but at night it has a light on and I completely lose myself and could stare at it forever... wishing I was up there on top of the world alone and completely care free
so this is what I want the contest to be about.
Your vision of Beauty
I want you to take something that you find absolutely beautiful (not the norm of emotions, another person, flowers or whatever) but something that appeals and speaks out to you so much that you could lose yourself in it (ie: a place, scene, photograph, object, a sound, something from the past).
Something that reaches deep inside of you and you dont know why but you can't for the life of you forget it or the simple awe it casts upon you...
It doesn't matter if others find it beautiful or not as long as you think it is then that's all that counts.
Pretty simple yeah? well I like to think so...
Rules (yes there's always rules)
don't write about people, emotions, flowers ect, we already know the beauty of such things - remember deep inside!
no Language - beauty and language don't really go together
- no chat speak or WoNkY writing
no cutting/suicide - but dark writes are fine
any style, any length
one entry per person
in your author comments please leave a quick note on what it is you're writing about (so I know you have read this)
Ok, get writing and share with me your vision of beauty.
This contest will be judged after I come back from Sydney and once I have read and commented on every entry.

I'll have a look at the photographs I've taken recently and pick one that would fit your contest, and then write about its beauty. Oh yes.
