Contest 20. So look below for the regular list of what's contained in this contest. It's been altered, re-arranged and I'm going to attempt something different. Don't say I didn't warn you. This is your only warning.
FOR STORIES AND POEMS ONLY!
If you're a regular, I'm sorry for the change up, but recent conformations from several higher-ups have verified that you aren't allowed to ask others to read and/or comment on your works in your posted contest. Moreover, you can't do this even if you say that it's optional and smiled upon or what have you. You can't say it at all. e_e Anyway, I hope you get used to how this supposedly is going to work...down to the last period and letter.
See below for the 'Table of Contents,' so to speak.
Match Maker -- Where you are given a choice of characters. You must choose only one. More than that is fine too.
Scene -- This is where the encounter is.
Cause -- What's happened up to this point.
Suggestions Not Banned -- Anything I can ask you to do still
Rules -- What you have to do regardless.
Points -- What will be given out.
Later Additions -- What changes I've made as the date progresses.
- ♠ - ♠ - ♠ - Introduction - ♠ - ♠ - ♠ -
Here is where I normally say things that have absolutely nothing to do with the contest. Well, this time? It really does have something to do with the contest.
This is the only place that you will hear this:
First, you don't have to participate in this contest. Second, you don't have to do anything in the 'suggestions Not Banned' section. Third, yes, you have to do every last one of the rules in the 'Rules' section. Fourth, complaints will be duly noted and based on validity, I will either assist in rectifying the matter or put you on my block list. Fifth, complaining or whining that I've extended the time for this contest will do nothing. Sixth, the fact that I can't spell everything exactly right all the time does not mean you can claim I'm hypocritical and then ignore such rules because of it. Seventh, calling me names will only succeed in putting you on my block list and the removal of your work(s) from the contest. Eighth, any and all information regarding this contest not included herein or below will be granted by the hostess of this contest within one to three login days. Note: login days are based on the times the hostess is logged into this site.

♥^♥^♥^♥^♥^♥^♥^♥ Rules ♥^♥^♥^♥^♥^♥^♥^♥
Follow these or face disqualification!
1. Grammar. Use it and use it like it's meant to be used.
2. Spelling. Use this too. Spellings can be different between American English and British English, but they aren't THAT different. (This means chat lingo and the like are out)
3. PG18 and below is preferred. If you enter something over that, then make sure you say so and you post it as such. Also, PG18 means 'Parental Guidance for children UNDER the age of 18.' Remember that.
4. Author's Comment Box. Use it. It'll prove to me that you actually read everything...especially these rules.
5. Post as many times as you want. I may tell you to stop, but right now? Enter, enter, enter...but you have got to remember to keep with these rules.
6. Prewrites. They are not allowed. I'm testing you below.
7. Comments you want recognition for must have links from the entry you want them recognized through. No brownie points in the sense of making a better judgement or what have you. But putting me in a good mood helps keep me from removing your works based on my opinion of whether or not you're a rude idiot that would best be used as shooting practice for a rookie police officer from the Middle East (or wherever you want him/her to be from)
8. Complaints, harassment or otherwise will remove your work from my contest(s) and I will put you on my block list. I can easily put everyone on my ignore and block list if I must!
9. Ignoring any of the rules will result in disqualification and removal from the contest.
10. Leave a note in your comment box about which ones you chose. Letter and numbers are best, but if you want to write more in depth, go for it.
11. Stay in your selected scene or scenes. Note: You must metion all the scene(s) you've chosen for your entry and post them respectively in your comment box. I will not do the searching for you.
12. You may only use the scenes above, nothing else unless it's a minor section that connects the two. IM me if you want further explination(s).

I've reworked the Match Maker section.
I've added more options to the Scene section.
I've added mroe options to the Cause section.
I've a secret ♦promotion♦ for this contest going on within the groups that I host. Each member knows the stipulations, so I have not posted them here.

Apologies. e_e Internet service to my computer was temorarily destroyed when someone cut the phone lines. I was planning on extending this contest through Halloween.
Enjoy!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on October 24, 2006
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: I am moving into my own rental house tomorrow so I am shutting this contest down. Hopefully future contests will behold even more entries. I can't say better because the fact that what remains here obviously managed to gain the "better" status in my book, it's hard to say anything could seriously be better.
Well, okay, so there are places to work on each one, but I know no one is perfect, so why should it matter that a work be perfect?Entries [5]

...now if i had more time, i would definatly look into this conetest more...but seeing as how i'm allowed only a certain amount of computer time, i must pass this oppurtunity. however...i may write you a little something and send it to you later on, just to see that i still care that you are on my list...best of luck on your contest!!!

Ahahahah'.... your rules get more and more strange, you realize this, DD?
Anyway, this looks like a really fun contest thinger. ^ ^;; Depending on how soon I get my 'net back, I may try my hand at it... though I don't think it'll be very good. I have issues with structured stories, heh'. ;> >
Clapper Man for you! ^-^
-x-[Toria]-x- -
I hope you return in full soon!
And don't worry about trying to get it before it closes. I'm actually extending this contest indefinitely. I've been sort of doing that recently with my contests after all... e_e
Anyway, I'm glad to see you're still alive and breathing!
Thanks!
-D.D- -
i maybe interested i like the idea if you dont mind a child writer
-
I don't mind any writer. Old, young....it just doesn't matter as long as you are able to abide by the rules listed.
-
Wow...this seems like a VERY interesting contest and I might take the time to enter. I'm not very good at story telling anymore but we'll see if I can come up with something. I hope you get what you're looking for. This seems very thought out and it should turn out nicely.
Love always,
Kristen -
Wow this one looks hard! I think you should get some interesting poems in this. I like the way you set it up. Very clear. Have fun and good luck to anyone who enters!
~*PointLess*~ -
Hi, well having an evil virus at the moment, by the time I read all the rules, regulations etc I felt knocked out, lol, all the best my friend hope you have some super entries, hugs Di
-
Oh, a contest (not your fault, but if you go onto do a featured by then put (contest) in brackets).
I may see what I come up with. Sorry for clicking, I thought this was a poem
-
haha with such specefic scene and plot guidlines how do you expect anyone to have a prewrite that fits the qualifications? hmmm, im going to enter this contest but i need to leave like one more comment that is a hundred words long. so i will take the time to as you aboot yourself, dragon dancer. i assume from your name that you like dragons. have you read eragon? very engaging read, if you havent i highly recomend you do. i hate books and i cant help but reading it over and over again. i think ive memorized the whole thing! well thats atleast a hundred, get back to me soon!
-
Okay, at first I was like, ther's no way I'm gonna read all this, but I scrolled down and you grabbed me, so I did read it, so I'm gonna give it a shot! I think this is a pretty cool contest. My grammar is far from perfect, hope I'm able to meet the criteria!!
-
good
This is a very unique contest! I am very impressed with it.Have fun and the best of luck with it
Kari -
This is a really interesting contest...really something different!!!! I think I might just have to enter this!!!
With Words Of Love and Hope,
Musyk
-
Will take some work to get something lined up for this, as it is very specific and there's so much to read in the way of directions. I read through it and decided that it was a challenge that storywriters might like.
-
Totally thought I was clicking on a poem as well... enteresting enought title, but by the time I got not even half way through all the rules and regulations, I was bored. Sorry, but I'm just not much of one for contests... I would rather write what's in my heart; not too great at the whole story thing I don't think. Anyways, best of luck with this!
-
Hmmm,. I think you did a great job in coming up with these characters. They all have very specific personalities. I might do one. I have to think on it.
-
Don't take offense to this but I felt as if I was reading a never-ending ending story. Although this seems like a very intriguing contest i wish you all the luck into this contest
-
Sorry for clicking, I thought it was a poem, could only see the first line of the title...Good luck with it though
-
i have a question.
in the cause section you put in a bunch. do we have to use like one of them? or all of them.
and if we only use a few of them does that mean that the character can ONLY do those certain actions? -
No. You must choose a minimum of at least one from each section. That is all.
-
argg i was almost done. soo sorry i always forget dead lines...
it couldn't be extended a little bit longer could it? i know i had enough time... sniff
ok it's fine...
i have it ready now..... is it really too late?
Edited on Oct 12 because 'because'. -
please please please??
-
Terribly sorry, I have extended the contest. I had my phone lines cut by some loggers out here in the middle of nowhere. I was planning on judging it some time either around Halloween or perhaps sooner if I can actually get my OWN computer working.
-D.D- -
Thewres a lot to this...
-
Well - ask me later, please.
Whoa - I'm really new at this. When I clicked here I thought it was another contest entry - a poem - written by a poet. I am now totally confused. Am I to comment on the content of the contest explanatory rules? If so, forgive me for being so green (but I AM Irish afterall). Honestly, after reading all these rules, I was left worn out and had no energy left to write a poem to submit to this contest. Sorry. Ask me later what I really thought - I'm still trying to sort all out!! I thought for a moment this may even be some sort of a game... So I guess I'll pass on entering this contest. -
For cause:H
Can it be a loved one dieing from battle wounds? -
oh my i also thought this was a poem. maybe you should be a little clearer with what this really is. good luck though
