I want poetry reflections of:
Making progress,
Making up for lost time,
A new start,
Beginning anew,
Coming into one's own,
Going back to square one...
you get the picture!
Those DREADED rules!
1. First and foremost, follow the contest criteria. PLEASE!!
2. Make sure you poem is posted in the correct category.
3. Spelling and grammar matter. If you are going to
take the time and make the effort to enter... show some
pride in your work.
4. No chat lingo, sticky caps or internet speak. This is a
contest, not a chatroom.
Failure to follow the rules and criteria as set forth here will result in your poem losing credibility as a serious contender for trophy consideration. I will however read and comment on every entry, regardless.
1st Place: Gold trophy and 500 points
2nd Place: Silver trophy and 300 points
3rd Place: Bronze trophy and 100 points.
Honorable mentions and additonal trophies are always a
possibility so enter and have fun.

Oh, a new start, I think I can do this, maybe. Then again, my piece may not be entered, but I think I am inspired. Maybe. I will check back.

Wish I had seen this last night, right before I posted a piece that was about this very thing lol. I think it's a fine idea for a contest, and a very (potentially) inspirational one. I'll have to come back and read the entries! Good luck with it.

I like the choice of artwork. Pre Raphaelite?? I know it's unlikly but if you decide to open to prewrites at any time I'd certainly appriciate an im as i have a poem that I'd like to enter here. I've been told to repost by some people but that seems unsporting somehow. Hope you get lots of good entries.

Often when I write poems regarding self-evaluation, much is revealed. I needed to write this poem and read it over a few times. Since I posted this I have discovered a few people I need to make amends with in hopes that they will forgive me.
