For my beloved favorites... give me your darkest secrets and run with it. It can be a pre-written poem, BUT I would rather it not be... No rules because I know you guys don't need them. I am going through a hard time with trust so maybe this will help get me through it. Love you all to pieces. P.S. You may enter one pre-written poem and up to three pen to paper writings.

My deepest, darkest secret... hmmm... I shall have to give this some thought and plead with my muse to cooperate. Not that I don't have any secrets mind you. It's just a matter of what I am willing to share and my muse following suit.
Great idea for a contest! I hope it goes well for you. I am sorry you are going through some trying times at the moment. Just remember, the soul would have no rainbows if the eyes had no tears.

Wow, I have a lot of secrets, I'm going to have to think about this one for a while. I mean, there are lots of things people don't know about me that they think they really know. This is going to be hard and will probably get very personal.
I'm going to enter a poem that will strictly be a reminder to myself to enter this contest. I've only done that once before but once I enter the contest I'll remove the "enter this contest" poem and so forth. I hope you don't mind that. It's really a compliment to you, if anything, but I only do that for contests I REALLY want to enter.
It sounds great, I'm looking forward to writing but for now, Astronomy homework is calling...

I never understood the allure of making a favorites only contest. I really would like to know. I make contests all the time and have not a clue why you would want only your favorites

Because in choosing your favorites you are typically choosing writers you know will produce poetry worth the time (in your own estimation of course) to read and judge. It can save a lot of time, and it provides incentive for younger or reclusive poets to try to get involved with the community and write well so as to get added to the favorites and thus invited. I think it makes a lot of sense
