I love hosting contests that ask for specifics, contests that really challenge the poets who enter, but every now and then you want to hold a contest where you don't know exactly what you'll get. So. This is an options contest...enjoy.
RULES?
-no chatspeak
-no suicide/cutting
-right now the closing date is set at 9/17/06 and the contest is set to close early after 200 entries.
-please let me know which option you use, either in authors notes or even just an IM.
PRIZES?
-first place one gold trophy and 300pts
-second place one silver trophy and 50pts
-third place = one bronze trophy and 25pts
OPTIONS:
-1 Choose one of the following TV series and...write...something.
a. Smallville
b. Lost
c. The 4400
d. House
e. Charmed
f. Firefly
g. Weeds
h. 24
-2 Google IMAGE search your allpoetry username, choose one of the results and write...something, post the picture or a link to the picture in your entry.
-3 Pick a favorite book and write...something.

I'm looking for real creativity and imagination, give me something unique.
I like GOOD rhyme, please please please do not force it and ruin your poem.

doesnt anyone think that i should have at least got second place? -
First off, you did not tell me anywhere in your entry what option you chose. Second, I didn't see this fitting into any one of the three options for the contest. And thirdly, I chose the entries I felt were the best (most creative, most fitting for the contest options, etc.) which is what the host of the contest typically does. If you read the winners entries I'm sure you will see why I placed them as I did as they were all excellently written. Thank you for your comments and good luck in the future.
