Edit September 2nd
As I sit here reading all the knowledge that learn about the Tribes of the Seven Nations. On one of my comment.
I notice that one didn’t know or understand the culture of the Turtle.
- So if you like you may use this also as a subject.
- What do you think the Turtle shell is.
- For to learn is to listen and now what is being written on paper for all to see.
- What does the Turtle mean to the Native American.
- Let this be a challege to all that would like to learn about the Culture of our tribes.
- I think you will all be surprise when you read the book of the many tribes.
Also you can learn something from my poetry:

Speak kindly to those who dont know any better. Stand proud and hold you head up. We are the proud Native American Of the Seven Nation To will come again and join together a Way of life in the new way of the old way. We will rise again. Keep your heart open and remember we are God Childrens and he would want us to help our people but he will also want you to give the white man a hand to help them. That is the only way the white man will see that we are truly One familiy and that we are all Equal. When the day come and the white man turn to us and Say Thank you my freind. Then you will know you made one person equal to you and the cycle will repeat time after time. The day will come whenwe all will live in harmony and peace for we will and have shown the white people we are freind and one equal to them. This is what I saw in my dreams last night in dreamtime.

Morningstar 1948...I am proud of you my sister. This is a wonderful opportunity for us all to learn about the heritage and the culture of the tribes, and the nations. I didn't realize I was a rabbit or a coyote... I have the otter as my spirit animal... now I know why I have always loved rabbits... and have a feeling of empathy for the coyote...will try to write something for you, Spiritsong

dearest morningstar,
I am very touched to see this contest and have already seen your footprints on some other pages, your graceful face on the photograph on your author's page has also touched my heart, I can feel your peaceful and humble heart resonating with mine. I was smiling once, when I read one of your comments a little while ago, where you revealed two of your totem animals being the owl and the wolf. it made me smile, as, at that time, I was hosting a contest in honor of your blessed tradition asking for poems about owlspirit combined with wolfspirit ... as one of the options ...
so, somehow, I feel very close to you, even if we never "met" ...
I most cherish lady shewolfnative and lady spiritmother here on ap, and am happy to meet another beautiful native american lady, lady morningstar, through this wonderful website.
much love to you,
maa -

Morningstar...thank you dear Aunti for inviting me to this wonderful poetry event...I am happy to participate in your cause to shed light on the Native Culture...and it is my hope that many will read the entries and learn from each of our ways...for throughout Turtle Island there are many practices...and within each Tribe lies a profound gift of healing for all the Earth Mother's Children...Mitakuye Oyasin...aho Little Fawn -
