So you see, someone has decided to rat me out - so to speak. Seems so damn funny to me because almost EVERY SINGLE CONTEST I ENTER says the same thing. What bothers me most is that I was shot down for encouraging ALL of you to comment on each others work. How is that wrong? And by the way I earn my points. I have made more comments and spent more time here than many. Needless to say this will probably be my last contest... Possible my last month since I am paid. I am not pouting - but I am fumed. And to whomever that decided to complain - well, have a real nice day!

This contest is dedicated to the fact that tomorrow (8/31/06) I will be soaked into the not-so-soothing sounds of Shinedown, Godsmack, and Rob Zombie!
{UPDATE: The contest was amazing to say the least. We were soaking wet for more than four hours, sliding around in mud with thousands of people! The worst part was having the lead singer of Shinedown come up to the lawn seating to sing to all us drenched people, and some idiot threw a beer in his face!!! It was just pathedic. I hope karma throws a keg in their face!}
So here is what I want from you guys:

5 - Traffic and all it's horrifying glory. Write me a rant of some sort - use your imagination. Make me laugh if you please.
6 - Something DARK. I love a tasteful dark write any day of the week!
7 - Time. How the hands do spin... What does time pour out of you?
8 - Sorrow. Show me your pain. (NO CUTTING POEMS ALLOWED!)
9 - Picture Inspiration. This is one of my favorite pictures. It is entitled "Swamp"; artist unknown. Tell me what you feel when you look into it. Be unique.
10 - Love. You asked for it... And I cannot refuse, after all what is a world without love. Pull out your pains, desires (don't scare me!), and romantic tendencies and throw it on the page!

I am closing this contest early because of a confliction in poetic beliefs... There. That made it sound nice!
Isn't it sad that we can't even encourage one another to comment in a contest? {It cannot be a rule.}
I apologize to the complainee that it was in the rules section to grab attention. I would never make it a requirement!
And whatever you do, NEVER ask for a donation - not even an applause! It's against the rules; form of spam ya know. Yeah? Well, I did not! I think it's good to have these kind of contests. They give everyone a chance to enter. I also love option 5, I have always wanted to do a rant on traffic conditions. I hate stupid drivers.

Sighhh...I hear ya...I got the same thing on a contest awhile back & swore I wouldn't hold another one...But why punish everyone because one person had to go & complain about something??? They could have easily IM'd you, telling you it was against site policy, so you could delete those statements...I think it's a lot of sour grapes on some people's parts myself. The main reason (I think) they said you can't ask for comments is because some judges made it a requirement to read their work in order to enter, not so much the other entrants. Nonetheless, don't let this discourage you...There are many people who are grateful for any intelligent-sounding contests...we all know there are many that are ridiculously-themed...& those where the judge doesn't even read your work...we've all been there...Thank you for hosting an amazing contest, PerfectImperfection. There were many gifted Poets on this page, all worthy of accolades. Congratulations to those that placed, as well as to those who entered. Yay, Lynda!!! Be well, Poets. Wanda

Thank you Wanda... You are certainly right. I was just so steamed yesterday when I noticed my contest had been edited without my knowledge at all. I really did not realize it was against the rules. I see so many asking for donations, I asked in the form of applauses - because we all have 4 free ones - that don't hurt us a bit to give. I do. If someone is holding an interesting contest, whether I enter or not - I usually applaud it. But then again I know there are many who just want their own work read, and host wanting points... I definatly know fot the future.
