Pagan Poetry For My Troops

Hail and Well Met!!!!

I am doing another contest for my pagan friends in Iraq, They are serving their country bravely and with honor and they are also Pagan.
I did another contest like this one before and sent all the entries, comments and pictures to them. they loved it!! and they asked for more. Eric Cooper is my main contact there and he has allowed me to share his e-mail to any that enter this contest and tot he ones form the last one, you know who you are, so IM me and I'll get it to you!

Here is the e-mail that he sent me after I sent him the poems:


"All I can say is wow and ty from the bottom of our hearts, your first place winner brought a tear to our eyes and thats the only one we have read so far. Yes, please send the rest if there are more, our guys and gals love them and if your writers wish to email feel free  to give them my email. Are any of your writers in Wa State? we will be home by mid-October and would love to have them at our first Pagan coffee is they wish to come when we return. Look forward to reading more. This was welcome news,, I'm so glad that they liked it so I am doing another on to bring them what they want..

For this contest I want to have poetry about pagan life, spirituality, nature, something inspirational, just some good stuff.

Now that does not mean that you can  not talk about...GOD....but please remember that the people that will be receiving these may not share you faith, be respectful of that.

I will not have Bashing, or Converting  either,, If I even get a whiff of it, I will DQ you and remove your piece, just like that.

Now for the nasty  rules...

I congradulate the future winners of the contest, and I must do this to the HM's also..because so rarely, does anybody congradulate them. Once again, good luck to everyone!

    This is a great idea for a contest. It does put hope in the troops, which is good. I have a cousin whos serving in iraq, and i know that if he were to recieve poems such as these, it would warm his heart.

    This is a very strange contest... kinda and oximoron... or however you spell that. I've never known a witch to support our troops. Well... that's pretty awesome and NOT typical of you to be that way. I like it. Good for you and... God bless our troops.
    (Sorry I'm not a wiccan so I don't know who to say that to.)

    Thanks for your comment on this.. yes it is rare to find people of pagan faith to support the troops, so you can understand how hard it is for the troops themselves that hold different faiths.. they are there because they feel it is right..not all pagans or wiccan,(which I am not,I'm just pagan) hold that there is a need to sometimes cull the herd so to speak, they are all about life, but forget that death is a part of that..we have need of warriors in this day and age, and these are the warriors we have..so I try to help in what ways I can..
