I've reached the extreme point of low mind-stimulation..... so...
I don't care what sort of poems are entered..... BUT...
I want poems that are fascinating enough to wake me up... This is harder than it sounds.
I want to see good spelling and grammar... This means re-read your poem before entering into the contest... so that you know it is fine. This includes full stops.
I do not want to cringe.
I have not put a limit on the poems entered... but don't take the piss.. because I will soon be sick of the sight of you. Choose your best poems. I am not here to comment on your whole library.
I also want to see what the poem is about in your authors comments. If I see this blank.... you will not win either.. (even if it is obvious).
Simple.
Update: You lot obviously don't get the point. One entry per person from now on....

150 for silver,
75 for bronze...

A Briton who quotes Bruce Lee, Michael Stipe, Adrienne Rich, The Pixies, Aristotle, Jack Handey, and Ani DiFranco, all on the same page ...and as best I can tell, your writing doesn't even sort of suck. Clearly, you are not lacking in gray matter. I figure your contest has got toe be worth the trouble, even if all I get out of it is an opportunity to read your critiques. I do appreciate a good critique.
There was this guy Charlemaigne, and he just loved this one book, but I just cannot, for the life of me, remember what it was! An inspiring read, as I recall.
Hope you like the poem. It is one of my favorites.

I don't know half of the people you mentioned here.. so it is quite shameful that you know them.. and I don't, considering the fact that I'm using their quotes. Well, if you can inform me of who's who's... I will be grateful. 'Grey matter'.. Not heard of that before. And you want to read my critiques, huh? Well.. I hope I've not done too badly then. I must admit, I'm not 100% proffesional.

We often hold secrets inside that fester away at our souls. Although there are times we want to release these sores, there are some that may go to the grave with us. No matter how mute we are in regards to our hidden behavior(s), possibly because revealing these secrets may harm someone we love... God knows the secret and the heart.
