10 Lines Or Less- Anything Goes

Ok, it is a humble request. If you click here through featured then please participate. You all are wonderful poets writing something as short as 10 lines won't take much of your precious time. Thanks for participation.

Ok, this is a contest where anything goes save adult themes. You can write about anything but the only limit shall be the 10 lines. NOT MORE THAN 10 LINES!!! If we find any entry more than 10 lines, it shall be first warned and if required disqualified.

Some advices -->
Be as creative as possible. Use different expressions and forms. It will be appreciated.
Write as short as possible, but keep it strong.
If you are unable to find a topic to write, either look for a picture (or ask us for one) or ask us for giving you a topic.
Critiquing other's works will prove handy in judgement. We will like you all to improve. Helping someone to improve shall prove icing on the cake.
Read as much as possible before entering. Try to grab various ideas and think about a novel representation.
Try forming a team and then discuss the thing which you can write about. A team can comprise of any number of members. But, make sure, that if you make a team then remember to tell Judges through a comment or mentioning in Author's Box. We will like to see collaborated ideas.

Remember -->
If you use any form or anything extra (includes metaphors, other expressions and thoughtful imagination) explain it properly in your author's box. Even you write a Haiku, explain it. We won't hear, 'it is self explaining' We want that if a small child of 5 reads your poem he should understand it with help of your author's box.

Possible -->
It is quite possible that we may convert the contest into series. But it isn't sure yet.

Prizes-->
Gold: 300
Silver: 50 or above
Bronze: TBA
HM: No points for HM's

Any questions, ask through commenting on the contest page.

The Contest won't be judged so early. It will probably take 2 to 4 weeks time. But, don't worry, you will be judged fairly and would be gifted a honest critique.

And yes, you can enter as many times as you want

s 3. 2. 1...GO! s

    I would very much like to enter this contest of yours, Pole Star, but I have not written since last year or before. I have a tendancy, or an idea, to write about work, as I only started a new job 3 weeks ago. I might just type something up (I already have an idea in mind) and submit it within the next few hours/days.

    wow, Dhruv! You're really filling up with entries quickly on this one!

    I really appreciate your offer to co-host this contest with you, but AP time has been on-and-off again with me lately and it may be hard for me to give this contest the attention it deserves from my end if to co-host right now. I'm glad you got it underway though...and I'll pass you points for second and third place, HM's, or however you choose, OK???

    Enjoy the contest!

    Well, I came in here to see what kinds of things were asking for in this contest. Because ten lines didn't seem like that hard. I was kind of sad to see you didn't have suggestion. It's not so easy for me to write and I usually let contests prompt me. But I'll think for a minute and see what I can come up with on my own. I like something not to complicated that you have to spend all night on it. So I should be able to honor your request for an entry...

    Hey! I know! How about this! Are you on right now? Quick! Name a subject or an object or something! And I'll see what that makes me think of!

    Well, thanks for showing interest.

    I have a lot of inspiring ideas for you, what about:
    Reflections
    Universal lies
    Captured in eyes/ mirror
    Magnified pains
    Infinite past, future ends

    For inspiration with pics look at my list of inspiration on my author page.

    With much,

    Wow, thank you!
    That is one cool contest. Thinking about what to enter, 10 lines seems easy now but trying to fit all the nonsence that is spinning around in my head may be difficult! However, we shall see!

    I love the fact that you required only ten lines to write with. That made the entries very interesting, and precise. An excellent challenge indeed.

    CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE TROPHY WINNERS!

    Much Love & Many Blessings,
