I haven’t had a new contest recently so here I am holding another one! Oh boy!

What I want: Short, humorous prayers that can be said before meal times. They don’t need to be religious and you can enter even if you aren’t a Christian. They should rhyme (since things are typically funnier when they rhyme) and they should be appropriate (no adult jokes or swearing).
Your Mission: To do this (duh!)
Rules
- Short would be anywhere between 2-6 lines.
- Rhyming isn’t a must, but it is recommended.
- Must be original. Don’t post something that I’ve heard before.
- Make it presentable on the page – no black font on black background.
- If I don’t laugh, you won’t win.
- If you have a prewrite, send me a message with the link and I’ll consider it.
- Two entries per person maximum. If you enter two and think up something else, remove one of your other’s so you can enter another one.
A (Bad) Example:
Rub-a-dub-dub,
Thanks for the grub!
Yeeeaaaaah God!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 7, 2006
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: Every contest I do it seems that entries continue to get harder and harder to judge. I could have probably given every entry a trophy because they were all incredible. I had the hardest time judging this and went back and forth on who to give the trophies to. I appreciate everyone's entry and they all were all very great to read!

Thank you so much for hosting this inspirational contest. It was fun to contemplate a humorous prayer as well as read some of them. I appreciate the time and effort that goes into hosting and judging. Thank you for doing so.
Congratulations to the winners of the Gold and Silver trophies. Your poems were well deserving of the honor.
Thank you for awarding my poem the bronze trophy. I am honored and thrilled that it was chosen from all the great entries.
