Yeah, I've had alot of contests, so I wanted to try something different.
Recently, I found that I had writers block, and I needed some inspiration, so I put in Pink Floyd, echoes, and it all came out.
I want you all to do the same, but I want it to be new.
We all probably have poems that we have written while listening to something that we love, but I want something new.
There are really no rules, the only thing that I want to know is what you were listening to when you wrote what you wrote, put it in the comments.

Cool
Actually after a while it doesn't matter if it's Echo and The Bunnymen, Johnny Cash, or Chet Baker to name a few. I tune them out and write, I do have a lot influenced from a lot of music. I like this idea for a contest, my influences are sewn into the fabric of what I write but I am sure you will get some great entries. Good luck on the judging. -

Actually my friend music has inspired me on many an occasion. I hope I can find time to jump in. Too bad, I have a dozen already done that used my poetry in place of original lyrics to songs. This time if I can, I'll hear a song and write where my mind takes me instead of just accommodating the melody. I hope you're well. Good idea for a contest. Best wishes for your success.

This is an excellent idea for a contest--I find that I need music while I'm writing--it's usually Blind Faith I'm playing or the Doors.

crazier floyd than echoes. Floyd as in Pink Floyd. Echoes as in the song you listened to. Crazier as in "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" or Ummagumma or something.
