I know that most of us listen to music, and then quickly become obsessed with the band. Personally, this obsession hurts and even though I know that I am just torturing myself by listening to the songs over and over, I feel like I need to. This is where you come in:
Write about being obsessed with a band, and how it makes you feel. You can choose whether or not to use the band's name, but I would prefer if you kept the names to yourself (I like a hint of mystery)
Rules:
No stupid caps LiEK THiS
Try to keep it grammatically correct
Swears are allowed, but please don't overuse them
You can use a pre-write
Try not to write about pop or rap music! (PLEASE! I BEG YOU!)
You can use some lyric quotes, or play around with lyrics, but try not to have that as the central focus
Just get in touch with your inner musician

- Final notes: Damn, why did you guys have to make it so hard for me? I made a list of all the poems that I thought would get trophis, but it had 8 possibilities. Brightside17 and StarryEyedMystery were tied for 3rd for a while, and now Brightside wants to delete her poem. PLEASE TELL HER NOT TO! Read it and fill her author page full of comments like "if you delete it, I will cry very hard and all the Flowers in the world will die!" Thanks for making these past few weeks full of anticipation for new poems!

Good idea
Yaay I'm glad there is finally a contest about the music, none of this silly "pick a title from a band that *I* like and write about it" nonsence. Becuase I'm obsessed with a band, more in particular the bassist of that band and I'm sick of this particular poem I wrote about him not being able to be in contests just becuase he's not a current musician. Rock on! Great contest idea mate
