This is my first contest and it will be judged by me and allpoetry.com/poets/FireyAura because of the lack of time I have.
Ok, so here's what you do. For this contest, you IM me and I will simply open the dictionary and pick out a word. You then must write a poem with that word as either the title, or the central theme of the poem. If you don't know the words meaning, please IM me or allpoetry.com/poets/FireyAura and we will either give you the definition, or we can pick another word. You can pick, but we will only give you two word choices and you must tell which one you pick. (That way we won't duplicate). Also, it can only be at the tops, 20 lines long. So have fun! If you still don't understand, here is an example written by Fireyaura. Her word was incapacious.
Incapacious
Lord, you know my soul and thoughts
You know that I am not capable of much.
But God, with Your help I will try
And be the best Christian I can be.
I am nothing without You
My being without You is useless
Lord, you know that I am Incapacious
And I need help Oh, Lord please
Come down upon me and mold me
Use this old vessel and create in me
A newer, finer vessel worthy
Of Your love and care.
Ok. Now here are the RULES!
1. No swearing, I cannot stand it...so please I don't want to read it
2. No bashing others poems
3. No StIcKy CaPs unless it adds to the poem. And if so, please tell me the point of them.
4. You must comment on at least one person's poem (I will be checking)
5. Please enter in your authors comments the word given to you.
(unless it is used as the title)
6. Please check your spelling.
I will be checking on this, so any failure of the rules you cause you to become disqualified.
Now start writing and most of all....HAVE FUN!
Oh, and first place will receive 300 points. Second and third have not been decided....

Just one question, Why did you assign me a word that was already written on. I was reading the other entries and noticed that Soccer-Freak-Tyler also wrote on the word Reprimand. Perhaps I misunderstood the instructions and rules regarding this. Dennis

Thanks so much for the gold trophy in this nea contest. This is my 100th trophy and I am pleased to see it a gold, although it really would not have mattered as the number 100 is the big one. Keep on holding these - present a real challenge.
