OK, for my eight contest I'm gunna try something a little different. Normally I'd have you all write poems on topics such as love, loneliness, etc. But this is a joyous time of year.
June 14th I will be graduating high school. Fun times. SO I want poems about graduating from something, school, boot camp, whatever. Other than that there are no rules. Anything to do with graduation, how you felt, what happened, did you moon the crowd? anything will be allowed. I will judge solely on quality of work.
Please only one entry per person.
1st will get 300
2nd will get sumtin
third will get sumtin also
I'm low on points but I'll have enough by the time this contest is over.
It would be nice to comment on each others work. Every poem will get a comment. Most early entries I'll actually read a couple of your poems(if there somewhat good at least).
I guess that's all. Good luck and have fun.

one last note: since I've already had people ask about pre-writes, I will allow them for this contest and break my own rules. just make sure prewrites are about graduation etc. good luck and have fun.

I had a question. Does it have to be from my point of view or can it be like 3rd person point of view and I'm just telling the story of what happended? Just let me know. I may enter either way. Thanks!!

I've already written about my graduation . . . because it's coming so soon . . . maybe you shoudl allow prewrites because most poets have allready put their originality and creativity into a piece.
Good luck with your contest . . . I hope the entries are everything you hoped for and more.

I was going to join this, but then i realized you couldn't have pre-writes, and I have already wrote mine. Sorry. If you allow pre-writes by any chance, please tell me.
-
You may write this piece whoever you wish. One suggestion. Make it good! hehe, have funn and good luck
-
I've allowed prewrites to compensate those who had an early start to things.
-
ok thanks
I'll start writing tonight then.
