To teens and twenty-somethings (or those who have yet to relinquish dreaming), what is your DESTINY?
Some scriptures to ponder:
This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face. Selah.
Lift up your heads, O you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory will come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
/Psalm 24:6-8/
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD...
/Jeremiah 29:11-14/
We are a generation blessed beyond imagination. We are more intelligent, more talented, more passionate than any before us. We have more resources, more communication abilities, more speed. To whom much is given, much is required (Matthew 12:48).
Your challenge in this contest is to DREAM. What will you do with your talents? How will the world change because YOU are in it?
Rules:
1) No erotica, etc.
2) No potty-mouths (bathroom humor went out of style in second grade)
3) ONE prewrite per author, but up to three new pieces. Should more than one prewrite be entered, I will randomly disqualify your pieces until one remains.
4) *DREAM BIG!* A spouse, children and a white picket fence were nice dreams in the 1950s. We are the generation that ROCKS HARD. Your dreams should, too. :-)
5) Dare the impossible. Theodor Herzl began hocking the idea of a Jewish homeland in the late 1800s. Israel became a nation in 1948.
Finally, HAVE FUN!
First place: 315 points
Second place: 100 points
Third place: 50 points
Honorable Mentions: 10 points
Thanks, ya'll! I look forward to reading entries!
