Hi everyone!! I am back again with another contest, and I hope you will all have fun with this one! Past contests have been great successes, and I look forward to reading some great work with this contest as well!
I have been in the mood for haiku lately, so get creative and write some wonderful haiku for me! I want to see vivid imagery and I want these to reflect a nature theme.
I prefer the traditional 5/7/5 format, but will also accept more modern forms with fewer syllable counts.
You may enter as many times as you wish, but I am looking for fresh haiku, so no pre-writes in this contest.
OK, now for the rules...
1. No sticky caps.
2. No erotica.
3. No Pre-writes.
4. No chat lingo.
1st Place will receive a gold trophy and 300 points.
2nd Place will receive a silver trophy and 100 points.
3rd Place will receive a bronze trophy and 50 points.
I will also be awarding 10 Honorable Mentions worth 25 points each.
I will comment on all entries, and will also be awarding applause.

I am so proud of my achievements and to win amongst the 76 entries that were entered into this contest. You've started my day out on a very positive and happy note and I can't thank you enough for that. Yet, please accept my humble thank you. Myron, who won the Silver trophy has been my mentor for more than a year here on AP for haiku. I'm so happy to see both of us winners!

just an observation about the 3rd place:
it is mentioned "cut grass" by my passion.
but this poem is written by blushfulmoon ...
