Alright, after a lot of thought, I’ve decided to put up a contest. But since I wanted the entries to be unique and interesting, I’ve decided to use an idea of mine for the basis for this contest. Entries can be either poem or story format, pre-writes are allowed.
The Contest is this, Heaven and Hell have never stopped battling since Lucifer and his ilk first fell from God’s graces, this war known as the Heavenly Hellish War. It has never stopped or slowed, it continues on to this day, underneath Humanity’s very noses.
With this being said, most Demons and Angels are in battle, but there are a few from either side that have chosen not to partake in the Heavenly Hellish War and have turned their eyes to Humanity and their immortal souls. The idea for this event is that the more souls a person possesses the more power they wield.
Heaven and Hell after seeing what these Chaotic Demons and Angels were doing with Humanity, they choose to send Fallen Angels and Demons to deal with the Chaotic forces. Each city has been granted a representative of Heaven and Hell, for example Michael and Belial are based in Los Angelus with Angelecia B. Faallen acting at the right hand to either side to deal with the Chaotic forces.
So, write a poem or story using the above-mentioned idea and see where it takes you. Write from the perspective of one of the Heavenly Hellish War combatants, a Fallen dealing with their situation or even a Chaotic Demon/Angel enjoying their freedom amongst Humanity. Just run with the idea.

Two men sat at a table in the back of a Waffle House in the middle of "Nowhere, Texas". They silently stared at each other, and sipped coffee.

Hi, the comp is an interesting subject, but I feel our prolems are not created by fallen angels but by man himself, man is a war monger ,is avid, egoist, self centered, I could go on and on, we cannot blame angels or cosmic forces for our sins, lol, that would be too much of an easy way out, all the best with your comp, hugs Di

-lol- Truer words have never been spoken.

What an idea! I wrote a whole book on the subject matter called "To Save Lucifer".... its far too long to post to your contest but its here on AP if you ever get the urge... lol. One man's fallen angels are another man's grounded space crew. One man's God is another man's demon... but in every case... it takes a man to do either's dirty work for them. Isn't that a hoot? BTW... souls aren't any more immortal than is your computer's hard drive. It is SPIRIT which is immortal. Good luck with your contest.

I wasn't prepared for this to be a contest. But I think you will surely get a lot of entries.
Good luck and God bless.

I happen to have the incomplete story that this contest is based off of. It's currently title Untitled - INC. If you're interested check it out.

I really like your idea for this contest. I have written a poem or two about angels, demons, and hell, but I don't think they would apply to your requirements. Nonetheless, I wanted to say, Excellent idea!!
-
This is definitely a unique idea for a contest. I don't know if I could come up with anything decent enought for this, but nevertheless - great idea. I'm sure it will create a lot of creativity.
-
You never know, give it a whirl.

Great contest, thank you for hosting and considering my poem!!
-
Thank you for entering. I plan on hosting another contest in the near future, so keep checking back often.
-
i am wondwering now why you ahve a closed contest in the promotion box? seems kind of pointless to me, but hey they are your points i suppose
-
Oh, its closed? Why did ou advertise it?
-
This sounded like it would have been a very interesting and somewhat challenging contest to enter...I've only recently started writing contest poems, I find it hard to write something that I'm "told" to do, problem with authority maybe? Kind of wondering why you'd advertise a closed contest, but if you're hosting another one, maybe those of us who didn't enter this one can get into the next one. Again, very cool contest idea, Muchas amor, Amanda
