I want celebrate my comeback ..and I know there are many Bunnies out there like me who have had our names or IP's banned sometimes for days sometimes for ever..So...I want you to write a seriously funny poem about being banned ...How you felt ..did it really affect you ..or was it good to be OUT THERE...So Come On every one tell us what you think...
The Dreaded Rules...
1/ Keep swearing to a minimum ..use it only to describe your situation but don't make it a long drawn out boring drawl...
3/ No NET Talk ...I don't have the time to hire an interpreter
4/ Only one poem per person please
5/ Be nice although this subject is about being a little bit wrong ..it is not about abuse ..it is about creativity....any poem that is deemed abusive will be eliminated

1st Prize A BIG GOLD CUP and 600 points
2nd Prize A Shiny SILVER CUP and 100 points
3rd Prize A Bold BRASS CUP and 50 points
HM will be given depending on quality of the Poem
UPDATE** Come on everyone surely many of us have a sticky tale to tell ..I have extended the competition to get more entries ..So get out those Keyboards and write me a poem that will knock my sox off and have us all on the floor in stitches of laughter ...***

This sounds like so much fun! Unfortunately, I have yet to be banned. Even more unfortunately, I am pretty sure I have a poem that is about to get me banned. Since you are an expert, maybe you could let me know if you think my poem "Party On Garth" is going to get me banned or not. If I do get banned, and the contest is still open, I will enter, because I like to write funny and this sounds so funny!

Such a fun idea. I love it. I would enter because I have been banned from many places but i don't have near enough time to enter anytime soon. If I somewhere find a space I will enter but its an amazingly fun idea and is something veruy new which I applaud you on.

i have never been banned the most that i have gotten is a warning.. but then again i have only been here for around a month.. this is a good idea though.. very original.. i hope you get what you are looking for..

seems ok to me so far? #2 should be fine since it's not anyone's poetry in specific. Requiring comments on the other poems entered in the competition is random enough to not be 'spamming for comments'.

If they view my contest entry Some Judges I know they might melt down I put in so many f-bomb bunnys that I made a parking lot. Good luck with the contest IM me if you need anything I like rule benders.

I haven't been able to write straight on "humor" for a long time. I don't know why, I just am not able to anymore.
Probably one of the few on this website who was banned for life and was able to come back. I lost count how many times I've been banned, I think last year alone I was banned 7 times for a total of 5+ months.
I'll bookmark the Contest, if I'm able I'll enter but straight on humor or even gradual humor I don't think I can write anymore. Which is ironic in a way -- I'm "humorous" every day.

Sadly it was my son who got us banned ..It should be a lesson to all those that share an IP address ..be careful and always know what your other half is saying...I have been banned on another site for writing a racy poem ...Yet I post the same poem on this site and many others with no similar reaction ...It was called "Bonking"

i'm way new to allpoetry so i haven't had the supreme annoyance of being banned yet. i honestly can't imagine what one would really have to do to get banned from a poetry site, sides maybe attempt to post a poem that was made up of nothing but swears. non the less interesting contest idea

I've never been banned... I'm not even sure what people get banned FOR to be honest so not so sure I'd be able to fit into this one
I actually look forward to reading the entries here... get together all of APs angriest poets and ask them to write something for the humour category? Should be interesting!

You mean that people ARE banned from Allpoetry? This merely reinforces my decision that when I have wound up the Accumulator competition I am currently running (it is in the third round - so four more to go), I shall quit the group.
For as a former victim of Soviet censorship - and an active campaigner for freedom of speech for more than 40 years (the two facts are not unrelated!) I do not see how in conscience I can remain in such an organization.
Unless someone can give me a very good reason why anyone should be banned - and I cannot think what such a reason could possibly be, I do not see how I can stay! -
Sadly Allpoetry has dissapointed me ...I am a believer in freedom of speech yet you will notice that rule 2 in my competetion was censored even though I only asked everybody to try and comment on each others work ...My son who is bit of a joker got banned(twice) because he supposedly saying offensive things ..now I have had people say offensive things about my poetry and things I believe in ..but I truely believe they have a right to their ideas and freedoms as well...I am trying to make this humourus as well because I think most censorship is stupid...Society needs rules for safety but it should not censor ideas and comments just cause they upset individuals...This is a pricipal about literature and reaching creative boundaries

I got banned once because I wrote a poem about cutting AGES ago and I put a picture up of some star shaped thing I found, but it got deleted and when I got messaged about it, I missed the first message, so I uploaded it again and go banned. >___<
