LADIES AND GENTS!! Come on in!

What you do:

Your poem will be your bid for these lovely women.  You may offer me anything--points, money, tangible goods, (but I won't accept them).  Your poem is what it takes to woo the lady of your dreams.  Below you will see some wonderful and beautiful ladies.  Please be nice and keep it clean.

Your rules:

If you are 18 or younger, you many bid on girls.  If you are older, you MUST bid on women who are 18 or older.  You may choose any subject to write except erotica or abuse.  It isn't appropriate.  Cursing is also not appropriate.  Treat your women right!  And enter as many times as you want.  There are a couple of girls who are under age, so keep that in mind.  DO NOT BREAK THIS RULE!!!!

Your Options:

Okay, Gals, time to strut your stuff!!!!

I initially had my picture here, but I was reminded that it might not be a good idea.  As much as I adore all of you, any poems written for me will be deleted (and put on my author page).    So don't waste your poems.

Blushfulmoon:  This young lady is very special to many people here on AP.  I don't know her personally, but I know that she is well loved.  She is ill with cancer, and there are a couple of contests for her already.  I hope she will not mind that I have put her in this contest for a little extra support.  Please keep her in your prayers.
Please take a look at this contest as well:  allpoetry.com/Contest/1987209

TerrBear:  This is the one who first stole my heart.  She's fun, she's sporty, and she's a budding photographer.  If you choose my TerrBear, please remind yourself that she IS my heart!

Vilanger:  I just recently met this lovely woman, and she has shown her heart to me.  When I had the contest for the guys, she wrote something for every one of the gentlemen.  And in every one of her poems was love straight from that beautiful heart of hers.

Tammy (Angel Baby):    What can I say, My screen name says it all.  I have alot of love in my heart, and am known on AP as Angel.  I am funny, goofy, and have a huge listening ear.  So tell me, Do you want an Angel in your life?

cutefairyblond:  I'm a hopeless romantic, and just ultimately a sweet woman whom just about everyone likes. I like sports and all that. I also am an aspiring songwriter.

Poetryreality
I'm mellow like finely aged cheese
I will be whatever you please
Can also be a lover's tease
Tropical tan, ninety degrees

Reenie:  Such a class act, Reenie is a beautiful poetess with so much love in her heart, and she always has a sweet word for everyone.

Melissa:  What can I say about this beautiful young Christian woman?  She is a firefighter and first responder.  She will fight a fire while she fights passionately for the Lord.  Her heart is pure and loving, and she has the loyalty of wonderful friends.

Martha:  My sweet, ornery Martha!  She is a lovely lady with two beautiful daughters, and she runs her home like a warden.  Hard nosed, but as loving and sweet as can be, she has stolen the hearts of everyone who knows her on AP.  Be nice!  She's my daughter.

Elle:  I love to sing, write, play piano, and play volleyball.  I love to laugh, joke around, and just generally have fun.  I am a dreamer who also knows how to be realistic.  It takes a lot for me to get mad.

Daffodil: Yay! well I'm a cow loving maniac...oh wait...I'm trying to get people to want me not fear me right? haha well I have an acquired sense of humor and love to dance! I love being crazy and just having fun! my picture is on my author page u can just swipe it from there if you like Patricia I'm a law student and going to do a counselling degree this fall

Angelgoddess:  I'm a 22 year old woman who loves to go dancing, have fun, and to watch horror flicks!

Sherry:  Not many believe this, but Sherry is my AP Mom.  I waited a very long time for the right person to come along, and she did.  Sherry is kind and loving, gentle and sweet, and she loves rabbits.  She has two that she loves very much.  Mom is a bit shy, but write her something really sweet and gentle and make her smile.  If you don't, I'll get TerrBear and Martha after you!

Pallas Athena:  26 yrs old, and living it up beach style in Hawaii. She likes walks on the beach, or in the woods. Music plays a big role in her life, as she even have her own karaoke machine, and uses it on a regular basis. Got any requests?

Diamond2007 (Chelsey):  Chelsey is another one of my beautiful daughters.  She's fun loving, intelligent, sweet, adorable, did I say sweet, and a wonderful writer.  Oh, yes, and she's very sweet!  And if you haven't already noticed, she's really sexy!

Aiyzan:  *Many perceives me a woman who couldn't simply defined overnight; though I'm what I am as an independent female, my strides in life never go in vain just because there are those who would do their best to knock me down and in the end, they're the ones looking like chumps. My way of living is something that I've gained by surviving; if it meant being an 'ice queen' to close-minded people, then so be it.  All in all, I'm proud to be me...which is a big bold beautiful woman.

Stardust-luvr:  I have a heart of gold with a powerful personality and a heartfelt soul to match. I work with severe and profound special needs children who are Angels to my heart.

La Belle Rouge:  Lovely Red Lady Seeks Male Poetic Companionship. Proficient in poetic pursuits and accomplished horsewoman. We can quote love poetry to each other for hours or perhaps we will find more romantic past times.

poetryintheblood:  Sagittarian, Romantic, Sentimental, Dreamer, Naughty Lol, Nice Fun loving, Poetic, stars, moon, sea lover, overall loving by heart and soul.

Torn Chakra:  Jess is my beautiful AP daughter, my first.  Not only is she beautiful, but she is also intelligent and a remarkable poet.  Hurry guys, this one will go quickly, and you MUST have her in early or I HUNT YOU DOWN!

galfalfa:  This little lady has a slightly warped sense of humor, so many of you will really love her.  She obviously writes wonderful poetry and loves to read and enjoys music.  She's very sweet, but don't upset her; she's a moderator.

AlwaysTurtle:  This little lady is under age, so keep it really nice guys!  As you can see, the sneakers are the only part of her you get to see.  There's a good reason for that.  Mom and Dad don't want her picture on the net.  Must respect that!  Take it from Gramma Patricia, she is one sweet young lady!  Have her in early, or you'll be in BIG TROUBLE!

Maatkara:  This beautiful woman is a well traveled and learned women.  She is deeply spiritual.  Her wisdom comes from many cultures, and she shares the beauty of life with all.  She is a treasure at AP.

Lonelyfuneral4U:  This little darling is one of my daughters.  She is underage, so be nice or you'll be pummelled by all the other women here who have the motherly instinct to protect.  She is the true picture of perfection, her poetry is amazing, she has many friends and is very loved.  Make sure you treat her with KID GLOVES!

Faith is Lost:  This lovely lady is an angel in disguise, so I don't think there is any faith lost here.  You will be pleasantly surprised when spending your time with her.

SilverScent:  I’m a friendly and fun loving British girl who loves to write poetry from the heart. When I’m not on the site I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I am currently studying to become a nurse. At times I may sound a little crazy but that’s just me joking around. Please take a look at my picture.

SexyAngel0418:  Be nice with this little cutie as well.  She is very well sheltered by her family, and I am her Gramma.  Beth is loving, happy, spiritual, and she loves to spread her sweet love for everyone she meets.  Happiness always follows my dear Beth.

Spamwitch:  my interests are vast. Obviously I love to read, as well as write. I enjoy lots of different types of music, and even got into world-beat so much that it prompted me to take belly dancing lessons. I was known as Madamshamrock then. I am willing to try just about anything, and will usually have fun doing it. I really enjoy my work, and at the moment am taking care of my father who is ill. He is amazing, and I wouldn’t trade that opportunity for the world.

Taur-amandil:  This is my little sister, Erin.  She's well read, an excellent writer, and amazingly independent.  Erin is very precious to me, because she was my first real sister on AP.  I could warn you to behave yourself with her, but she can definitely take care of herself.

Vickie J:  Vickie is a mother and grandmother who loves her family with ferocity.  She is a Christian who readily passes the Word to others.  She is a beautiful lady who has many loving friends on AP.

all4luv:  A beautiful woman and a marvelous writer, this darling woman is filled with love and beauty.  She has many friends on AP, and I am so honored to be one who made her list.

Grace Ekaney:  Sister to Lester, this sweet woman is a legal secretary in Wisconsin.  She's worried about her brother, so they fight a lot, but it's only out of love.  She is intelligent and will share herself and her ideas with you.

raspberry:  My sweet, beautiful neice from India.  She writes so beautifully that it makes one feel as if they are a part of her poems.  This darling young woman is not only a wonderful friend, she is also a beloved part of my AP family.

LadyUnique:  I'm drawn to the strange and unique. i live in cow country of New York State and love it. 30 years of big city life was enough for me. i collect Betty Boop and listen to rap.
my writing can be personal or inspired by a picture.
my motto is 'ya just can't fix stupid' and if you get what that means then we'd probably get along

Classical Verse:  A beautiful woman with a lovely heart and a talent for the written word.  She is spiritual and kind, and her knowledge of poetic form makes her an even better poet.  She loves her friends with all her heart, and makes everyone feel loved.

 WonderingAngel:
I've been writing for over half my life... it is a passion for me; an extension of who I am.
I've always aspired to touch someone's heart or life in some way....maybe my poems or stories will do exactly that!
I have a varying genre; I write dark, funny, sad, romantic...name it and I can most likely write about it. I don't like "extreme" poetry; that's just not who I am nor will it ever be.

AnnD:  This is one the more elite moderators here at AP, however, don't let her bark fool you. This lady is sweet and funny, and has a heart as big as all outdoors!  I still cherish the day I met her.

Catressa:  The Queen of Evil Wenches, Catressa is the ultimate lady.  A brave and beautiful woman, she takes love wherever she goes.  Many on AP know and love this darling woman--with good reason--because she loves them.

crisstiena:  I'm a pagan wench with a fairy's heart I believe that love really is the answer to all things. I live in England and have the greatest admiration for anyone who can write real poetry. Oh, and I am really a fox incognito.. Tally ho!

Splenda Enhanced:  This young lady is eleven years old going on twenty.  She has a marvelous poetic talent and is amazing!  Loves music, oldies, Heavy Metal, Rock, has a good sense of humor, is inspired by everything, but is happier with nature, fantasy and love.  She is very poplular on AP, and I believe that's because she loves her friends so much.   Be VERY GENTLE--She's underage!

Scarlet Whisper:  This beautiful young woman defines herself as "two sides, one sweet, gentle and shy, but the other side is vengeful, hot-tempered and loves and craves danger !"  Watch out, fellas, she's not easy to read, but look at that sunshine smile!

PlayfulPassion:  I just met this lady tonight.  She's not only beautiful, but she is also  a loving spirit who tries to show love & compassion to all. Playful & deliteful with beautiful heart to match.

DefinitiveFreak:  Well, this young lady is certainly not a freak in any way.  She's hiding behind her guitar, but she's beautiful and delightful.  She's one of my AP daughters, and I'm very proud of her accomplishments.  She's an awesome writer and a beautiful soul.

Sarah957:  I'm divorced, 26, and I have 3 kids ages 6 3 and 1. I love to sing,  laugh, read, and write of course (isn't that a given for everyone on AP?) and I'm a college student studying Human Services.  (I, as your hostess, would also like to add that Sarah has a beautiful, heart-warming smile).

HeavenScent4U:  This is my lovely sister (she's the one on your right).  She is beautiful and has a beautiful heart as well.  A message or greeting from her is like a ray of sunshine.  You will definitely appreciate and love her if you get to know her.  I know I do!

Red Red Roses:  Linda is a beautiful lady who just happens to be related to Albert Einstein, so make sure you come with some intelligent conversation for her.  She's not only lovely, she's very well loved.  Many people here adore this wonderful lady.

Sarah Louise Hudson:  This young lady is new to AP.  She is a bit shy, but I'm sure many will want to make her feel welcome by writing something very sweet about her.  She is 25 and from UK.

purple elephant:  This beautiful lady certainly doesn't look purple or like an elephant!  She is lovely and has a loving, beautiful heart.  She enjoys her friends and family here on AP and enjoys writing.  You will love spending your "AP Date" with her.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on May 24, 2006
  • Rewards: Gold: 500
  • Final notes:
    The reason I chose each:

Gold: Wilting Daffodils by Hepatitis J--this was the most beautifully written poem I read. Jay sometimes amazes us by writing a piece that cannot belie his talents.
Silver: Ann by Rowan Tree--This is a simply-written poem that holds such warmth and love that it cannot be ignored.
Bronze: She Smiles by D-Day: This was written with such beautiful innocence, yet it also holds so much love and respect.

Honorable Mentions (In no particular order):

    For Galfalfa by ea
Children of God (Acrostic) by ralph zimmer
I'm Squeeking, Sneaking in by intanglio2ring
Jess (Deserves Happiness In Love) by Ted E. Bare

Everyone deserves an applaud for all the wonderful poems. But I have to say that some went far and beyond the call and wrote extra poems so that not one lady in the contest went away without a poem. I am truly grateful to all these wonderful people. When I went to them for a favor, they did much more than I could have imagined. Thank you--you know who you are. You have made this contest a great success!

Oh wait, I think I'm married, so I don't qualify, huh? Yes, I think I am definitely married. :::sigh::::: Ok, all is well with the world.

Cool idea, P.A.! An opportunity to honor some very special ladies. I know you opened it up for ladies to write, too-I think that would be good and maybe suggest that they write commercials for these lovely gals-advertising their wonderful attributes.
I hope it blesses all these presented here~vj

Let's see, there's my AP mother, and an AP daughter, and an AP niece or two... and hey, my AP aunt! Hi, Aunt Az! My my significant wanderer (I think she's settled on me as an uncle...!) I see Red Red Rose's lil' sis... and many poet she-people I've enjoyed interacting with already... (spontaneous term...) I don't know if I should bid on any more, I am more than quite content as is... maybe if I find time in my insane work schedule I'll do something unexpected... after all, that is my motto... that way I won't have to be a handsome guy, just me!

Great! I'll expect many entries from you! Not to worry, you'll have plenty of time. In the contest I had for the gentlemen, two ladies wrote something for every guy. Those two ladies wrote their hearts out, and the men were so amazed by that. Some of the men they didn't know, but they found out information on their author pages. Those ladies are here and deserve all the love one can give them. Get your pencil and start writing! You won't regret it one bit! You're a loving heart yourself. Hugs, Patricia

I've got her back several times, for other things though. My stomach isn't as touchy as it was 3 or 4 years ago, so I'll have to wait to "accidently" throw up on her. I could always run around in my sports bra and boxers, that always bugs her and it's not as gross.

They are all so worthy of the love and attention that they will receive from the poems written for them. I know you understand about self esteem, and that's what this is all about. I plan to keep it open for awhile to make sure all the ladies get some poems, and I've been fortunate that some have actually featured it for me. That way it keeps it in front of everyone. Interesting contest! Someone told me that I have should have participated in the male auction contest, but I figured that you had selected the people you wanted in it as I also told this female the same thing. You have a friend of mine in this one and I decided that I was going to place a bid on her for her happiness in love is truly my concern. I hope she can always be happy no matter what she plans to do in life. You shall see it posted within minutes. Good luck to all in the contest and to the ladies on the auction block. Good luck in judging what will be a very hard contest to judge!

Thank you, John. I was planning to come to you to beg anyway. I had 120 entries, and I'm so tired now. I just really feel bad that I haven't been doing my job lately. I promise to do it now that the contest is over. I need a favor; if I EVER mention doing another contest, PLEASE SHOOT ME!!!!!

Yours came so close to winning. If you read the winners, you'll see why I chose them. They were, without a doubt the best in the bunch. Thanks, John. You're a wonderful friend.

First; CONGRATUILATION TO ALL THE TROPHY WINNERS AND HONORAVBLE MENTIONS

Next; A special THANK YOU YO WANDA for thinking enough of all of us at AP to host such a wonderful tribute/contest.

Lastly; It was indeed an honor, and my pleasure to feature a poet I know and love in words of praise. These entries were a perfect example of the affect AP has on all of us. There is so much goodwill spread here daily. For some time now, this has been my home away from home. Can't stay away for more than a day at a time, no matter what!

Blessings to all who took the time to write about those they admire.

    This was just THE BEST!

    Much Love,
    Renee

You are certainly welcome, Sweetie. Your poem for Ann was simple, but it held so much love and respect. Both of which Ann is so worthy. Hugs, Patricia ♥

LOL Thank you, I think, Renee. Did you mean Wanda? This did turn out to be such a good contest. All the ladies received beautiful poems, and I felt so much love when reading them. This has been the hardest, yet the most rewarding contest I've ever held. Love, Patricia

Congratulations to all the winners, and I want to thank the host or hostess of this contest for a lovely challenge. I also want to thank those who read mine, and got me a top recognition for the poem that I wrote of Children Of God (Acrostic).
Being that I am a volunteer for Jerry's Kids, and try to help others when or where I can, this was something I could not pass up. Thank you again,
