Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 30, 2006
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: I may NEVER do this again. I wish I had a million points to give away and could make it a tie and give you all gold trophies. You have no idea how hard this was. Just think how happy God is right now when he reads all these poems just all about being thankful. It was worth it just for that. I think you are all wonderful. I love you.
Remember, no matter how one tries to be fair...the type of poem that draws the particular judge in, will have the most appeal. I love simple poems that have deep meanings. I can't help it. And I am drawn to rhyme. My name IS Rhymie. If you feel bad after this contest, I know how you feel. But my goal is for everybody to feel GOOD!!!!! Just remember that, just because I may not pick it as number one, that doesn't mean somebody else wouldn't. Like I said, this was HARD!!!!!

Thank you for hosting such a wonderful contest! Having hosted several myself, I understand the time involved and the emotions that you describe. The main purpose of a competition is to inspire new inspirations for topics. The real award is to have a new poem that one is proud of. The trophy is a bonus. You have done a fine job. Well done! I applaude your generosity for giving out so many honorable mentions. This act exposes your kindness. Thank you for including my poem in the honorable mentions.
Congratulations to everyone who took the challenge. Congratulations to each of the poets who won the trophies. They were well deserved!
