Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 9, 2006
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: Another group of wonderful poems.
Another hard one to judge.
But at last I have made my decision.
First Place: Lord Voldemort by Wraithe (This was really inspiring to read and a great poem to garner support for You-Know-Who)
Second Place: My Scaly Lord by fluofontis (This one made me laugh so hard)
Third Place: Elves Flee by IrishLove (This poem was absolutely beautiful and did the Elves from Tolkien's work justice.)
And if I could hand out more trophys...
Fourth Place: Lord Of The Rings:The Triology by wakingdevil (Yes I know it's long but wakingdevil did a good job on this poem)
Fifth Place: King Elessar by Oxemity (If you love/like Aragorn read this poem)
Sixth Place: Ghost Pirate by Andy Stephenson (this was an incredible pirate poem)
Seventh Place: Captain Jack Sparrow by The Risen Sun (Another Great Piratey poem. Go read it!)
Eighth Place: Down in the Underground, BEWARE! by Elenna (The Best Labyrinth poem out of the bunch in my opinion)
And last but not least
Ninth Place: Loving Death by KiwiiwiK (Well I thought it was cool)
Thank you all for entering. It was really hard to make the final decisions and thank you for your patience.

Interesting topics. I have a pirate poem in the works, but unfinished. Actually, looking at it. I believe it will work. I hope you like it. "Ghost Pirate"
-
what eles, I love it!!
Merry Meet Master,
I hope my pre-write is alright for your catagory on pirates. Off I go now to view Jareth in his element and check on the adventures of the inquistive little hobbits. I think I'll leave Voldemort to Harry and Company to deal with. He's just too pasty looking for me.

Congrats to the winners.... I'm always kinda sad to get beaten out by unmetered things. lol. But this really was a fun one to enter. I had a great time writing my ballad.
-
Unfortunately I suck a judging meter so I go for content and if it makes sense.
I've also seen you do better poems Frodofan.
I'm sorry. -
Thank you for honourable mention. It was a really, really random poem that I didn't expect to turn out like that. I'm glad you liked it.
