Write me a Haiku about...
.. Bears - grizzly bears, happy bears, cuddly bears, teddy bears.. you name it! You can personify the Bear's humanistic qualities or use analogies such as "bear with a sore head" to influence your poem. Haikus should be in the 5 7 5 format preferrably, but other styles are welcome. You may do a number of Haikus within the same poetry page, 3 maximum if you feel one does not express all you would like to say.
If you have any queries, IM me and I'll be happy to help!
Basic common sense rules apply:
no lingo speak, use spell check, one entry per person, no prewrites, make sure it is reasonable in presentation and respectable in standard.
Donations /applauses will be used to fund other contests

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 10, 2006
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: I hope you all enjoyed writing for this contest as much as I enjoyed reading them! The quality of entries was beyond what I expected and a result this was a really hard contest to judge.
As I am relatively inexperienced at writing haikus myself, i apologise if the feedback I provided wasn't as indepth as I would have liked. However, all entries were commented on and applauded.
My thanks to all for enteringEntries [9]

I love forward to reading the entries to this contest as I love to read Haiku and can't for the life of me write them. Best of luck to all.

Thank youfor hosting a fun contest. Congrats to the winners. I learned a lot from this and that can be better than winning ( sometimes )...lol. The Moon Bear is a real bear that is why I put the pic in, they are in Asia. -
