This is one image in a small series that will begin called, "IMAGE FOR YOUR MUSE". There will be many different types of images from dark to fantasy to nature so keep an eye out for my other contests. I have more beautiful images than points so if anyone would like to help with points please let me know...
I am looking for well written, creative and emotional grabbing poetry. I desire to see poems match the image so well, it is as if the image itself was created for the poem. If you have a membership please upload the photo given, it helps to see it while reading your poem and if not that is okay
HINT...I am an artist so how you use font and background color affects me almost as much as the poem.
ALL POEMS WILL GET AN HONEST CRITIQUE/COMMENT, PLEASE DON'T BE OFFENDED WITH MY HONESTY
1. CONTEST STOPS AT 35 POEMS. This is so I don't make everyone wait a week for judging
2. NO PREWRITES THESE ARE UNIQUE IMAGES
3. Please use spell check
4. Use of swear words are okay, I am not fragile
5. No more than 2 poems per person please
6. Don't rush, I would rather read a well thought out poem than a rushed one because you were worried about the 35 allowed, I might allow more.
7. I reserve the right to change the ending dates depending on amount of entries

This was Sooooo difficult to judge thank you for the CHALLENGE giggle. After reading each poem more than once I finally printed out all of them and read them over again, lol. I am not an expert here so I labored over making the right choices and feel I've done a good job. I wanted to list everyone for HM's but that would set a precident lol.
All of you did such a fantastic job and I am honored that you entered my contest. I consider all of you talented so I am leavingEntries [15]

I am so excited about all the entries you all have done such a marvelous job! Of course I am (trying) not to say too much right now before judging. I am thankful for each of you that entered and I am hoping some of you might pass the word along about this contest because I truly adore reading poems, the more the merrier for me. I may extend the time just a little if more entries do not come in......but don't want to upset anyone either. to all of you....

I don't really think you should judge like that because only paying members can do that stuff. Which isn't really our fault, those of us who can't afford a membership that costs like $300 a year. -
Hi shadow I wrote you back and thought I had posted it here..I did include above that it was okay if you could not I understand I was a free member and then managed to pay for 3 months which is running out quickly and I won't be able to afford it again for awhile. I guess I just meant the font colors and backgrounds so that the compliment eachother IE; not black on black....I wish you would have entered a poem I truly would not have judged on that basis

A membership for 300.00 a year??? I pay less than 6 bucks a month for silver. 6 times 12 = $144.00 not 300.00 and it would be less if I paid ahead instead of monthly. I think it is okay that he said that. After all if it were not for those of us who do pay, there would be no site!

Thankyou very much for this contest and for the trophy. If it helps - it is the first for my cabinet Yay!
I've previously had this habit of getting HMs alot recently - so it is nice to have that monkey gone now. Not for any egocentric reasons, but rather because it is another sign that I have improved over time. I read my earlier works now - not with embarrassment but certainly a strong sense of progress.
Congratulations to all the other participants: this was a very tight contest and I didn't envy BarefootSoul the judging.
Can't wait for the next!
