Anything.

Hello,

This is my first contest, welcome all! Since it is my first, let me know if I am doing anything wrong, thanks.

There is no specified subject you are required to write about. You can write about anything and on any subject. I will most likely be commenting on every entry.

There are some basic rules, guidelines, and requirements:

1) Poems can be rhyming or non-rhyming poems.

2) As I've said before, write on ANY subject.

3) Cursing is allowed.

4) No chat lingo. I'll accept the occasional, accidental spelling mistake.

5) Pre-writes are welcome.

6) You may enter three poems at most.

How poems will be judged:

Poems will be judged pretty much as they usually are. -On creativity, flow of words, how they are unique, and originality. Also, make sure you're background goes with your poems well, and your text color is readable and matches the background you chose.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First Place receives 300 points.

---

I shall be judging around the 25th of this month and the limit is forty entries.

Best of Luck to all who enter!

Hey, good luck with this contest! It's great that it is so open. My only sugestion though is that with a contest this... varried you'll get a hell of a lot of entries and it might get hard to keep up, especially for your contest. (Trust me, I did this for my first contest and it was overwhelming!) It's awesome though, because you get so much to read. I entered I Think I'll Go North and Day of Noise. I hope you get around to reading them, though I can see you have a lot of entries already. Well, good luck and enjoy your reading!

This contest is pretty well structured and everything for a first! You seem like a pro! The entries will all be hard to judge though...knowing the writers of AP. Good luck on making decisions. It is hard to make those choices....trust me, I had a contest that didn't allow prewrites and in 8 hours, I had so many entries...I was buried in the pile!

I think you better take a look at this. You have 313 entries! You should have been keeping an eye on how many entries you've been getting, because the system will NOT close the contest when it gets to 42, even though it says it will when you're creating the contest. Stupid system.

    O DEAR!!!!!

O DEAR!!! You have soooooo many entries!!! If you want, I can help you judge them. This is a lot... If I had known there were so many, I wouldn't have entered, because to be homest, I didn't look at how many entries there were. This is going to be a huge task for you. Maybe we can get some other people to help out. Do not be afraid to ask. The first contest can be very intimidating. I have had two, and that was enough!! Between the two, I had over 80 entries, or something like that--and that's nothing compared to yours! Please, let us help you. We could divide it alphabetically. I would suggest having at least three other people help you, even if it doesn't include me lol.

Good luck to you, and for anyone who is reading this, I would advise you to not enter any more poems!! Deviless has a big cookie to devour!!!

    Have a wonderful day!!

and another hint...even though you said 3 per person...you may want to ask them all to keep only one. and to pick the best one that they like. mkay? but that is only a suggestion.

I was just checking on the status of this contest and I noticed how many entries you have. May I suggest you remove some as a process of elimination. There will certainly be some that you feel are out of the running. You have many and it must be confusing to you to have all still in. If you like, feel free to eliminate mine...no offence taken...I would be so overwhelmed if I were you. Good luck and if I can assist in any way, please don't hesitate to ask.

Since you haven't logged in since April 19th I suppose that you are already overwhelmed. Once you see the amount of entries in here, it will take you another week. I'll pull mine out. Good luck judging
