I would like introduce our panel of judges:

JUDGES- your job is-
1. when the contest ends- give me a list of your top 6 boy favorites and top 6 girl favorites.
2. not only consider the poetry, but consider the personality (as in if you find their character original... special, interesting... Or if they don't take your comments well, that shows a negative side to them) Frankly we don't need sore losers in this competition, so consider the personality.
3. Point out 2 positive opinions for every negative opinion you state in your comment. Give advice and hints too.
Your objective:
Write a poem under 100 words- it doesn't have to mean anything, just make it sound good, take it out of piece of another poem you have, make it full of emotion though. If you sound good, the judges will put you through to the second round (aka making it to the top 12) The poem can be about anything your heart desires.
Judging:
1st. Gold 300 (whoever the judges think wrote the best wins the gold)
2nd. Silver
3rd. Bronze
But as for everyone else they just move on to round 2. (as for those who didn't then you are out of the contest)

1. Must be at lest 13 years-19 years of age to enter. Teenagers only.
2. (More like a suggestion) Be a member of the "Contests For Teens" club allpoetry.com/application/1892143 That is the application. You will be accepted for sure as long as if you are a teenager. Please consider applying for the group!
3. No inappropriate content, no erotica, make it appropriate for a 14 year old.
4. No bunnies allowed.

Round 1= Try outs. People enter, judges choose who go through to the next round and make it to the top 12.
Round 2= Top 12 write one poem based on anything. The world votes on Tyler's website (coming soon, as soon as we have a top 12) Two contestants are eliminated who have the lowest amount of votes. Judges still give out constructive criticism. Top three in polls win gold, silver, and bronze for 2nd round.
Round 3- Top 10 write a poem on anything. The world votes on Tyler's website... etc.. Top three in the polls win trophies. Two people are eliminated.
Round 4- Top 8 write a poem on anything. World votes, etc... Two people are eliminated.
Round 5- Top 6 write TWO poems on anything. World votes, etc...
6th place= 50 points, 5th place= 75 points, 4th place= 100 points, 3rd place= 150 points, 2nd place=250 points, and 1st place= 1000 points.
-so basically, from Round 2 to Round 5 the world decided who goes through. Whoever has the lowest amount of votes is eliminated from the contest.
This contest costs a total of 3100 points! Any donations will be appreciated so much!
PS. Don't look at this and say "Oh! I am not entering- there are too many entries!" -NO- Don't think that! Because there are more than 3 winners- there are 12 WINNERS IN THE FIRST ROUND!!! Thank you!

Ooh, this looks like great fun! I really like the idea of this contest and, being 16, I can enter. I'll see what I can conjure up... it's tight with me at school this week, but hopefully I'll find enough time to write something decent enough for this.

Not a problem. If anyone gives you a hard time just ignore them- those people would probably just get mad that a 12 year old is their main competition. lol You just keep it real and do your own thing. Write us a good poem. I have seen you enter other contests- you'll do just fine.

I believe that the judge who plays Simon would either be me or Tyler. Of course...since he is a guy, maybe Pattyann and I will fight for the spot of Paula Abdul! TheRisenSun might be in the fight for one of the spots too...but whoever doesn't take their claim as one of the regular judges can be like the guest judges on American Idol...Can you tell that my sense of humor just went down the drain?

I am so excited about this contest! I have never been in a contest that has rounds, and I hope I will be honored to continue on. The judges are very kind and helpful )as I have found out by experience in that they complimented my poem and helped me do my survey) which is very refreshing and welcoming.

Hiya guys- no more of the randy paula simon stuff. i thought it was corny from the start (just did it because other people requested it)
