I haven't held a contest in awhile and have points I need to get rid of some points so Maureen and I are collaborating together on this contest....she will be reading and helping me judge....
We want you to write us a poem about the wind and there are several options to choose from.....

Option 2...Write us a poem about the wind in a vivid thunderstorm...describe the furious scene...the lightning...the thunder...
Option 3...Write us a poem about the wind on a fall day...Let us feel the nip in the air...describe the changing colors of the fall leaves...
Option 4.... Write us a poem about the wind in the winter time...Let us feel the chilling cold...describe the scene around the wind...
Option 5...This is for one that describes it all...
Now for the Rules.....

Passionate Metaphor is not to be found either....We are so sorry about this inconvenience you either removed your poems or put them into just regular poems and in order to get the 25 points for honorable mention the poems had to be listed in the contest...

This is a great idea for the contest... The Wind...
I'll try to enter if I can think of something. But just to let you know, you can't make people comment on other people's work. You can only suggest that they should. Just letting you know. But good luck with the contest!

great contest theme Susan and Maureen...I'll see if I can do up anything in the way of a poem for your contest, but you're sure to have a lot of great entries. ENJOY!

this is such a great idea for a contest susan and maureen! i don't think i've seen this before. when you stop and think about it, the wind has as many faces as rain...or snow. think about that very gentle breeze, which feels like a caress against your skin...or the blustery wind...all macho and in your face...the winter wind.. steals your breath away...the moaning wind...makes windows rattle and sings a sad song down the chimney. i will be back to read these entries sis! ah..makes me wish i could write poetry!
i hope you get loads of entries!
love you sis!
