Prompted and Planted--
seeds, seeds of life, tomato seeds, seed faith, seeds of weeds, seeds of love, fruit seed, seed bead, wheat seed, seed farms, seed of need, seeds of deeds, seeds seeds seeds.
Any approach you want to take. You can use the word seed or not. You can be blatant or metaphorical. Any form, any topic, any way you want it as long as it ties into the idea of a seed. Be creative. Be different or be ordinary. It is entirely up to you.
Rules
1. Categorize properly. If your entry is adult, place it in the correct categories.
2. 2 Entries per person.
3. Use spell check.
4. Keep your readers eyes in mind. Make sure the font you choose shows up on the back ground you are using clearly. Limit sticky caps to purposeful usage and use punctuation where needed for clarity of message. If you forgo punctuation, use your line breaks wisely.
5. Prewrites allowed, but be sure it is in context with the contest.
6. It is NOT a requirement to read and comment or applaud any author and you will NOT be DQ'd if you choose to simply enter and go on about your merry way. If you opt to read and comment these are the rules.
a. Feel free to be honest in your critique of my writing. Your reaction to my poetry whether positive or negative is welcome and appreciated and will NOT affect my attitude as judge of this contest.
b. Be kind to fellow contestants. Be constructive, but be nice about it. Even if you hate a poem, it just looks tacky when you bash fellow contestants and it will affect my attitude as judge of this contest. If you can't find any redeeming qualities in another entry, save your comment for after the contest.
Reaping the Rewards
1st--500 Golden Points
2nd--200 Sterling Silver Points
3rd--100 Polished Bronze Points
All entries will be read and applauded. All entries will be listed in my --Brave Souls-- list on my author page. All trophy winning pieces will be listed on my --Hall of Fame-- list.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on March 18, 2006
- Rewards: Gold: 500
- Final notes: Whew. You have no idea how hard this contest was to judge. Of course, I appreciate that since I got to spend much time reading so many poems that I actually enjoyed reading. I was pleasantly surprised by the turn out and the overall quality of entries.
I have placed each of your entries on my "Brave Souls" list on my authors page. If you have time, check the list and make sure your entry is on there. If for any reason I missed yours, send me an IM and I will add it. As mentioned in the contest, the 3 trophy winner's poems will be placed on my "Hall of Fame" list.
Also, if for any reason, you did not receive an applause on your piece from me, IM me and let me know. It was my intention to applaud each entry.
All entries were judged on not only the authors ability to enter a well polished poem, but on originality in approach to the topic and pure WOW factor. Each poem was read and considerred multiples of times so that first impressions would not outweigh lasting impressions and visa versa.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the entries, but the top 3 and HM's just rose above the rest and definately struck my fancy. I ran this contest in hopes of getting to read some very good poetry that I would enjoy and to aquaint or reaquaint myself with authors I would like to visit again. So thank you all for perking my interest in your work. I hope to read much more of it in the future.

Since we have the complimentary gold membership for the week, I can see that several of you are checking to see if the contest is judged yet.
I don't mind, but I thought I would let you guys know that I should be able to have it all sorted out and judged by Saturday or Sunday.
I have some really awesome entries that require that I make some hard judging decisions and I also want to get all your entries listed in my Brave souls list. Thanks to everyone that enterred and thanks for your patience. -
