What I want is simple or maybe not!
We all know what opinions are like and we know evryone has one .Well that's what I want .Your opinions .On anything .On everything .I want you to pick a topic and tell me how you feel.So what if it's a controversial one .So what if it's political or religious .It's your opinion.I don't want you to rant and rave .I want you to calmly and poetically state your opinion.Win my points by doing so.What's the catch .It has to be done in rhymes.That's right rhymes .I don't care how long it is,I don't care how politically incorrect it is,it must rhyme .You can even collab with someone that has an opposing opinion but it must rhyme.
This is a winner takes all contest.I reserve the right to disqualify anyone who does not follow the rules .Now for the rules .
1.No bashing of anything or anybody.You should be able to state your opinion without being offensive.
2.Sometimes when you are passionate about something ,abrasive language may get the point across better .No excessive cursing .Do it and you're out of here.
3.Comment on at least one other entry.Put it in the comment box .
4.Any subject goes but prepare your self for the comments that you may get.Those are yours to deal with.
5.One write per poet and length is not an object .
6.Winner takes the whole 1500 points.There will still be the trophies for second and third but no points.
7.No prewrites at all.Don't im me saying you have one that will fit.I'm not accepting any.Earn my points,I did .
So ,go,tell me what you think of the war ,the president,God,homosexuality,poetry,rain puddles,dogs,I don't care as long as you give me a rhyming poetic one.
Attention:Rule #3 has been considered spamming,so it's no longer a requirement.I would consider it a courtesy however if you choose to read others work.Some people feel that you are telling them what to do when you place this as a rule.My apologies to anyone who entered this contest and felt that way.I make it a habit to read others work in any contest I enter so it was based on my habit that the rule was implemented.Still,I thank those that didn't find it to be a problem.
Also because the quality of the entries have been of such high standards,I feel obligated to give points to second and third place and a few honorable mentions.

Exceptional Idea!
A wonderful idea for a contest. I would have loved to enter but I'm afraid my muse ran off and took my opinions with it but, I will be more than happy to assist with the judging.
