I am a fat old man and I am looking for someone with which to waste my time and wealth. I haven't much wealth.
Must be a woman determined to succeed as a writer. Should be clever, intelligent and at least eighteen. Should at least pretend to love me.
I want proof of your writing skill. Submit any poem of any topic, but make certain it is a really good poem. I prefer younger women, I am 52; but will consider sophistication instead.
I am a serious, though not great, writer. I expect someday, I hope before I die, to make it as a professional writer. That is to make a living at it, and I want a woman or women who can and will help. I am being only half humorous about this.
In your author's comments, tell me why you want to be my mistress. Solomon had a thousand wives and concubine, I will consider only 42 entries. I, of course, wish one or more of you success. Don't disappoint me.
In this instance I do not want erotica or love poems. I want something exceptional in it's own merit. I will read such, but it would have to be really special to win.
Give me instead unique and creative poems. Make me love you for your style and flair.
A commitment to me will be a commitment to your own success as a writer. I want lasting and loyal relationships. I am a published writer, but a poor one.
Prewrites are allowed, but please do not enter unless you want to be my AP mistress. I expect us to become lasting friends.

I am trying to build a team of serious writers. I am quite serious about being a professional writer. I self published and produced a CD and cassette release of 20 songs of my music and intend to do another. I also have a novel, novella, many short stories, essays, and poems. I intend to succeed.

I checked this contest out of curiosity.I would like to have a friendship that was equal as you suggest to encourage each other with writing.I am serious about wanting to improve and about being supportive to others when I have time.However, I don`t have the time for the commitment you need and I couldn`t pretend to love you.I tell all my friends the things I love about them,but I couldn`t pretend to say "I love you"truth and honesty are vital for me to give and recieve.However,I wish you well in your contest and in your career.You say you intend to suceed,I feel you are already suceeding by fulfilling your creativity and your inspiration.I have read authors work on this site that are not,as yet, published but to me they have suceeded,they are living their dream,they are producing work that touches the heart and soul and fires the imagination.I wouldn`t be much help with the lyric writing either,I simply love all kinds of music but am not musical.I have attempted a couple of my own lyrics but...they are not that good.I have posted a poem entitled "If I loved You I Could" already on site ,the irony for me is I see now that the one thing I forgot to include was a reference to writing within it,however, every other ingredient is there.Good luck,love and light,Yvette

I used your name in a short story. If you are on AP, you are published and people do read you and your copyright is registered here. Pretty good deal, free or paid.
As to the contest, this is both serious and for fun. I don't expect 42 women to volunteer to love me, that is in fun. It is a working relationship I seek and friendship which I feel is a form of love. The commitment is as much to yourself as it is to me. If you are published more, you are a better contact for me and visa versa. Plus we can help hone each other's skills.
I am best at songwriting, but I also have written a novel, a novella, many stories, essays, and poems. I think we at AP should work together to try to help all who are serious succeed and for everyone to have a good time. -

I could hold you in consideration until after lent. I think if you read the comments, and I suspect you have. I am trying to build a team of writers working together to make us all succeed. Three trophies, but no limit on mistresses. Honest desire is the only issue. I am already working with some writers. I have probably done about ten AP collaborations.

I had to enter when I seen this, I too am seeking a partner in the realm of writing. This is a trully interesting contest, the one I submitted was origanly written for anoter contest, but you said you wanted something good and I like this one.
