DARK bingo

welcome to another DARK contest! my 31st on this site!

my last contest was judged by using a bingo game. the judging was planned to be by another detailed system, but then there were problems with the site. then came personal issues such as passing of several people i was close to. it took over a year for that contest to be judged. itz just a good thing that it was a special invite contest that was exclusive to those members that had me on their favorites list. this contest will not last that long. it will be open until the third or fourth week of march 2006 or the first 53 people that enter to take the challenge.

as everyone knows who has ever participated in my contest(s), they can be rather tough or challenging depending on your viewpoint. this will be simple and complicated at the same time. it will require constant tracking on your part (this statement will make sense when all is read concerning this contest). you may write your work in any form of poetry you wish or no form at all. you have to insert the word 'DARK' into the main body of the poem at least three times (title will not be allowed towards the count if used here). the word 'DARK' may appear in many different extensions such as DARKer, DARKness, DARKest, etc. (i think you get the picture). your poem can be written about anything you wish as long as you meet the stated stipulation.

here's where this contest is yet another unique DARK original. as long as the poem follows what has been put forth as an entry, the author has the opportunity judging himself/herself to be the winner. how is this possible you ask? that's why there is a limited amount of entries. each poet may enter once. i will assign every poet with a bingo ball and it will be entered into a basket/cage for a drawing. your assigned number will be given to you as part of my comment. the less poets that choose to take this challenge, the greater chance you have at winning. now what will happen once the contest closes, i will post the sequence the balls came out of the cage like a lottery as a comment to this contest. then once i have done that, it will be up to each poet to post their assigned number to the contest. that will determine who will be the winners. the order of the drawing i post will be used to match with the poets in accordance with how each responds in order of the posted numbers. for example, if the order of the drawing is g-56, b-8, n-36, i-27, i-18, o-61, b-9, g-52, o-66, o-65, o-74, n-42, o-70, etc. until all numbers have been drawn. then say the following poets with the assigned numbers respond in the following order; o-65, b-9, n-42, i-25, g-47, etc. even though the drawing has b-9 as seventh, this person responded as second to the posted list and may be awarded second as long as they have met the other requirements. itz even possible this poet could win first if the poet with assigned ball o-65 did not do what was asked of that poet. this is a contest where you control your own destiny. here's the tough part of the contest; the drawing will be posted no sooner than an hour of the closing of the contest and will not surpass seven days of itz' closing. so anytime during this period, a drawing will be held with the assigned balls and then it will be posted as described with the given time frame. it will be your job to find out when. if this is a success, there may be a sequel to follow this contest in the near future. if itz a complete flop, guess it will be one and done with the bingo lingo (he,he,he).

the rules are contained within the body of this contest. if there are any questions, please addressed them as a comment to this contest so when i answer that all may see (since itz possible it could answer the same question someone might want to ask).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
there was an entry to this contest that in turn made light of the contest. i use to have it posted here, but she thought i was trying to embarrass her and that wasn't the case at all. i had it here to illustrate that she didn't follow the rules. if you enter, at least try to write how you would normally write with the exception what the contents list as a requirement. the word 'DARK' must appear in caps where ever itz used. itz my rule and if itz not followed by the time i make my comment on your work, you will not be eligilble for a prize but will be issued a ball. i will be making notes for the entries that may self destruct for not following the contents. good luck! that is what it takes to win here as long as everything else jives!
    looks like this contest may be a one hit wonder and no sequel(s) to follow. i thought this contest would have been taken a bit more serious than this. looks like i was wrong by yunalonei's submission of 'dum dee dum' and i knew this would be possible of some poets to be stupid by poking fun of this contest. i will continue to measure the progress of the contest and if it continues to draw people who pass themselves as poets like yunalonei, then i will eliminate the contest. as long as there are legitimate entries, it will go on. i reserve the right to disqualify crap and post it as an example of not what to do. if you don't want to write for this contest, my suggestion is don't enter. can it not be said any simpler than that. why waste your time and mine. a successful contest to me is three or more entries. let's say there was only three entries to this contest and yunalonei's entry was one of them as she has hers now. there would be only two trophies issued for she did not follow the rules. just that simple! so enter what you feel is real. this is like any other contest where you need to write your best or close to it. now if you can't accept the challenge, as yunalonei fell short, why even try? food for thought...at least try if you're going to take the time to even post an entry to this contest. thank you for checking out my rambling, DARK.
    Rambling indeed x.X
    I didn't get most of what you said, excpet for the part about writing DARK in caps 3 times.
    Nevertheless, I'll write something in these last 3 hours and hope to win. I doubt you have time to explain anything...
