Hello Grace, I am very tempted to enter in this, and I know I will, but I just want to say that this was an excellent idea, I hope you have tons of great poems to read from and I pray two of them may be mine.

Hi, such modesty for a sixteen year old, that she thinks she is qualified to give in depth critique on other poets work, lol.will be very interesting to read these citiques, maybe she is a wiz kid of the poetic world, let us be fair and give her a fair crack at the whip,I wonder why I am writing poems on arrogance lately?
-
It makes me laugh when someone identifies age with wisdom. Age is only a number after all. Anyone who is passionate about poetry and is a poet at heart would be qualified to give in depth critiques on other poets works. I can't help but wonder, what is it you mean with your arrogance comment. For one to place judgment on another they do not know is a bit of ignorance, at least it is in my eyes. By the way, I don't really think you need to ask that question out loud. Just look deep within you and you might find a little black aura of arrogance floating around. Maybe that is why you're writing poems on arrogance lately.
-
I don't think I know everything there is to know about poetry. If you read my comment correctly, you would notice there is nowhere in it that I said I know everything about poetry. Everyone learns something every single day. I just said that I am passionate about poetry. If you don't like what I have to say, then I'd appreciate it if you didn't come into my contest leaving your comments and IMing me with your "arrogant" remarks.

I'm with Patientgrace here. Your wrong masterblaster.
'If you DON'T want honest and long critiques, then don't enter. The only way to improve your artistic ability is to take the criticism from others and add it to your work to make it better. '
Listen to this advice before you listen to others masterblaster.
And to you Jasmine This sounds like a great idea for a contest and I would happily enter it if not for the fact that i can never think about things when i want to.
Great contest jist ignore that arrogant bloke -
By the way, believing in yourself and your knowledge does not mean you're arrogant. Taking it to the level where you have taken it is showing arrogance. It's funny to see this started by an "Adult".
-
[new IM] masterblaster: get a life, prof
Wow, I'm sitting here smiling. I think you've gone to an all time low, Mam. I'm defending myself and my contest and wisdom in a way that is respectable. You sit there behind the screen and leave me IMs that are very interesting and, actually uplifting. To see an "adult" get to that level of lowness makes me smile, for I am only a 16 year old...
-
See many prewrites entered here. Have you changed your mind? Thanks for hosting. Will write something for this contest.
-
I don't see where age would have anything to do with critiquing poetry? I would have never guessed you were 16 by the way you designed the contest... and I don't see where age would matter anyway...
Now days they are teaching such advanced things in high school they probably teach how to critique poetry in English anyway... LOL.
Good luck with all your contest PatientGrace. I've gone to each contest you are hosting and they are all put together very well and are creative. Just wanted to encourage you... your age matters not...
