I'm not too good at religious and spiritual poetry.....I could try philosophy, but I'm not too sure if I could create a very good one. Anyways, good luck with the judging.

OW! I like this contest, but I can't write a good religious nor philosophy poem no matter how hard I try. But I hope all the great poets that can will enter. Have fun and hopefully this contest WILL be a success!

I want to report and thank you, Shahrzad Maftooh for visiting my page and referring me to this contest. I offer my matching work for this high profile of genres, and not really the points, however nice they are to receive. thank you so much.

And Ellis, as a Greeter, and since we're in the league of His own, Let me help if I can.

WOW!!! I can't tell you how pleased and surprised I am with the gold trophy and a 1000 points! That is extremely generous and I am glad you were impressed with the poem. I read it over again twice, and it is among my best; but I am surprised none-the-less. Thanks alot Ellis.

I'm disappointed that you didn't bother to comment on my entry. It appears you didn't even read it, however as a gold member I know you can cloak yourself (but I wouldn't recommend it when judging a contest). I enter contests to get critiques from the judges. I don't care about points or trophies, but sure I'd appreciate them. But critiques are still more important. Even if my entry wasn't what you were looking for, simply thanking me for entering and saying it didn't fit (and giving a reason) would at least tell me something. While I'm sure those who won and got honorable mentions deserve their recognition, I would hope my entry would at least earn a read, if not a critique. Even if you hate what I say, and how I say it, that's fine by me. Spiritual poems often lead to disagreements and debates. I have no problem with those who leave comments with either of those themes. I take my poetry more seriously than most, so I'm not going to cuss you out or throw a fit if you say you dislike something. I'm mature enough to accept actual critiques because I want to improve my writing. I'm sure the poem I entered could use some work. If you could take the time, whenever you're not too busy, will you please read and comment on it? Here is a link in case I forget and pull it from the contest: Faith in Faithlessness allpoetry.com/Poem/544859

Anyways, I still want to say CONGRATULATIONS to the honorable mentions and the trophy winners!

    Apology accepted...
Contests are hard work... and sometimes you don't get notified of a new entry until it's too late, or not at all. What I like to do is click on and read the first entry, make sure I left a comment, then click the next in contest link until I come back to the beginning again. (I do this after the contest says closed for judging).
Anytime you have trouble with anything on here, you can always reach out and ask for assistance on the boards, in groups, or even by asking a moderator. Perhaps your helper could have waded through and pulled ones that didn't fit the criteria. Just an idea in case you change your mind and have a next time. (I hope you do, since there are few judges who genuinely care as you seem to!)
Don't feel bad, I've just had a lot of irresponsible lazy judges not bother looking at my entries so I tend to assume that. Sorry about that.
