I want to see why you get all those trophies. Must have 50 trophies to enter. One entry per writer. Fresh writes get extra consideration. Prewrites allowed. If you enter a form poem, please explain the form in your author's comments; blank, free, rhyme, haiku and pixiku are understood. Also in your author's comments, tell me briefly why you are so successful. Poems only. Form and subject are open.
This is a learning exercise for me and a chance for the winners to show off. I want some of your skill to rub off on me. I expect the judging to be difficult. I will offer my less experienced critiques. This should not be an easy contest for me, but a challenge for you. I expect it to be difficult to judge. Helping to judge are AngelicMistress, Disturbed Prodigy, and Stephanie 1969.
May the best poets win. Points may be given for 2nd and 3rd. There may be honorable mentions if practical. Now show me poems that blow me away.

So the cream of the crop? heh? I'll have to go count mine, but I don't think I'm quite there. Hey, you oughta get Samplette to enter this-that's where all the trophies go. I'll have to come back by and read your fresh write entries and try to learn as you are. Best wishes on your contest.
-
I noticed that your co-judges aren't into rhyme, and I'm not sure if you are, but I hope there's no bias against rhyme here.
-
well I never realized I had received 48 trophies in the seven months ive been on this site....I guess I should be poud of that.....the gold out number the silver and bronze....as much as I would have loved to enter this contest....I am afraid I am two cups short of the required elgibilty......Thanks Susie.....for the link......sorry hon.....im left out

I love good rhyme. I am a rhymer myself.
-
I'll have to come and check this out again later. I have nowhere near 50 trophies, but I bet you'll get some really good stuff entered in this with all that talent...
-
We judges are learning. That is the goal.
-
Well, either I am not good enough to have fifty trophies, or I am not bad enough, depends on how you look at it. At any rate, I do not have enough, so I am not eligible. Well wishes with your contest.
-
None of the four judges have 50 trophies, we are doing it to learn. I am always impressed by you when you drop by. I hope you keep doing so.
-
Hmm...
I compliment you on your idea. I like this. I don't have any trophies, here, I'm just establishing myself, but one day when I'm bored I'll have to enter a bunch of contests... I'll be up there soon enough. It'd be cocky if it weren't true, but it is. I'd like to peruse the entries. -
They would of course appreciate it if you do read their writes. We four judges are doing this contest to learn.
-
fifty trophies to enter . . . that's incredible! This is a realli cool contest!! It's also good for those of us lacking in the trophy area because it allows us a glimpse at the talent behind those with sooo many shiny metal trophies! This was just a great idea . . . it benefits everyone . . . especially lowly poets like myself with only three trophies! Sweet!
-
Four of us are judging and it is to learn. I will have an open contest later. Watch for it.
-
Thank you deeply for the consideration. I will enter something new tonight
-
Thanks for the invite... I'll enter, though I'll do a fresh one... and I'm inconsistant, so it may stink! lol and I'll do a rhyming form of some type... and I'll try to be serious... but don't hold me to it...!
-
...wbiro will try to be serious!
That'll be something.
Thank you so much for the invite! I'll definitely try to come up with a special something new for this... I actually surprised myself earlier and saw that I was eligible.
Anyhow, I'll see what I can come up with! This looks like lots of fun!
(but definitely a challenge to judge)

wbiro, do what ever strikes you, but I hope it is good. I have read you before. I don't think you will disappoint us.
-
im with leander on this...wbiro being serious???? ummm maybe i should go and hide
but in any case Ill try to enter a fresh write
-
Thanks so much for the invite.
I will see if I can decide on something to enter.
-
Hi my friend, how many can we enter if new writes, hugs
-
well I am not worthy enough to enter this prestigeous competition as I am no where nearly as successful as those with 50 plus trophies If loosing counted I would probably be one of the top people LOL! I will have to come back and see if you learned anything and see if I can learn something too!
-
At this time I really meant to limit to one entry, fresh or prewrite. I may take off the limitation later. We want a lot of entries.
-
Thanks for the applause. We four judges are doing this contest to learn from the pros. You are no beginner. I will be holding somekind of open contest later.
-
Thank you very much for the invatation - I feel honoured!! I hope to enter something new...was just working on a new poem. I guess I'll only be here just before the closing date, but I will try my best!! Good luck to you and everybody else.

Thanks for the invite. I'm so intimadated by the company I'll be in that I will try to harvest the right muse in time. I really have only been writing for two years but have learned much from those that will likely win this great challenge.
Peace, Rob

What a great idea for a contest. It's an honour to have been included. So much GREAT talent so many good friends altogether.

I'm leaving for Canada in a day's time..so with all the excitement I just couldn't write something new. Hope the prewrite will do!
-
lol, well... I'm coming to say about the exact same thing as Nicolette. I meant to write something new, but I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow morning (and I'm not finished packing yet). So I've entered a pre-write, hopefully that will do.
Best of luck to everyone here, and I hope this proves to be as good as you hope!

Nice to have a contest for all us 'pros'. Ha! Think it is just luck - at who doesn't enter some contests that give us a chance at placing. Will think on this awhile. Thanks for hosting!
-
Great contest idea! You will get some great entries in here!
Have fun reading them all!

Well I'm sorry I missed out on getting in on this, but it looks as if you've got plenty of entries anyways. Considering your criteria, you'll really have your work cut out for you. But hey, at least in reading all those wonderful poems you'll learn about good poetry! Hoping to have it rub off on you? LOL, I'm sure you've got it in you, I mean you do have over 30 yourself already. I'll try to make it back to see what wins, but I would like to wish everyone GOOD LUCK!
-
Thanks so much for the award. Congrats to the other winners and all who entered. I was proud just to share space in a list with the poets above.
Peace, Rob -
I wish to thank you for the bronze and for hosting a great contest.~~Suseann

Thanks for the applause and thanks again for entering.

Wonderful contest entries to go through, and you've picked some winners, for sure. Congrats to you all, and thanks for the contest
-
I am glad you liked the contest. Thanks for entering. It was tough to judge and each of the judges picked at least one of the winners. I was very please by the participation of the pros. I am glad you were one.
