Hey Everyone! My name is LaAmy'a aka LaLa or Mya. I'm seventeen years old, with my own apartment, a job, and I'm engaged to a wonderful man, who is away right now(read more on author page if you'd like). I'm starting a contest for a few reasons. I've been going through a huge load of things, and don't know how to deal with most of it. A lot has me worried, and a lot is bothering me. So I figured, why not have a contest and see how many people can relate... make sense? Sure it does
Choices...
1. Have you ever been so afraid of losing someone that you'd do anything to keep them with you? Have you ever worried about being beautiful enough, perfect enough, that you'd even hurt yourself? Don't get me wrong, my boyfriend loves me for who I am, but I do have an eating disorder. It is in no way shape or form because of him... I just have it.
2. Have you ever had the possibility that you could be pregnant? The problem is, that it's not by your boyfriend, but someone else that you didn't want anything to happen with? You weren't raped, but you were drunk. What would you do, what would be going through your head?
3. If you knew your best friend was cheating on your brother(her fiance) while he was locked up, what would you do?
4. Cutting and popping pills... I recently just relapsed on both of them...
5. Loving someone from afar... my boyfriend is locked up, and will be for another year and a half probably because these people keep messing with his head, and won't let him come home
Can anyone relate to this? I only want poetry about people being locked up... true poetry please, so I can have friends, that can relate.... because I feel alone Rules
1. No prewrites... sorry, but I always get way too many.
2. No obsessive swearing, yeah... I have a major potty mouth, and I'm trying to cut down... so you're allowed to swear, just not every other word

I know how you feel. I wish you the best and I hope that you will see yourself for all of the wonderful things that God made in you.

1) i have never been afraid of losing someone that i would do anything, but i have been in love where i would do anything. i have lost someone i love to someone else, but i rather for it to be that way if they no longer love me the way i love them. itz hard to get over, but sometimes it just takes a very long time and i'm not kidding about that.
2) i know several ladies that thought they had this problem. a few of them got lucky and turns out they were not pregnant. however, a couple of the others weren't so lucky. they both chose not to tell their mate. i'm not saying that's the right thing to do. itz truly up to the expected mother how she wants to handle it. my opinion might cause a breakup for i feel the mate should know, but itz my personal opinion only. the problem with this is that the mate might not be able to handle it on a good day, so this decision would be a hard one.
3) again, only my opinion; i would confront the friend and pose the question; "do you truly love this person and if so why are you cheating?"
4) i have never popped pills are done any drugs with the exception of alcohol. i have been drunk, but itz not a habbit. i think many reasons for people to get involved with these things is to leave their world that may be depressed from the emotions that rule/direct their lives. most start on drugs initially just for the good times thay have always heard about. itz best to stay away if possible, if itz too late for that (in which you state is the case), then you must try other ways to keep you from going further into drugs. there are many different outlets to go to. one way is even going to friends that don't use them. if you go to someone who is using them then you're defeating the purpose of you trying to wing yourself from drugs.
5) itz easy to fall in love with someone from afar, even if your mate isn't locked up. the tough thing here depends on the level of love that you share for both parties concerned. you have to be honest with your emotions. that's what will guide you to pleasing your heart. love can be so irrational at times. i think that's why no one truly knows what to expect when in love. love is a crazy little thing!
i'm not sure if anything i have addressed will make a difference to you, help or even offend. it was my attempt to try to assist you in a way to help in the issues you had brought up. i wish you well in all that you have listed. they are tough questions not necessarily with easy or good answers. i wish you well with the contest too. good luck and to those who enter, DARK.
Well yea those are all true...and we dont want u to feel lonely and love someone from afar...we dont really want any of that for anyone ...umm well im not a really good poet and i do kinda feel ur pain...i love someone from afar...and if i was pregnant with some other guys baby i would be scared....shit my pants

Well this is a wide range of problems you have but we can all work through them with the help of friends and love. Just remember when things are dark and dreary just look up. I hope that you find the entries into your contest good enough to help you in some sort of way or the post from fragile heart she has an amazing post here.
