¢¾ Well this is like my 6th contest or something and I've been acquiring a lot of points and I wanted a few more but I decided to just go ahead and just do a contest...
***Options***
1. I want you to take any of the Fall Out Boy songs and rewrite it so that it relates to you and your life (no prewrites for this)
2. Use one of these song titles and write a poem(over used i know)
- Medicate
- Stay together for the kids
- Violence Fetish
- Say goodbye to hollywood
- Screamer
- Southwest Voodoo
- Pretty in punk
- the grand illusion
- the other side
- Cemetery drive
- tainted love
3. take one of my poem titles and write a poem on it(if you choose this write your poem and then go back and read mine, DON'T read mine first)
4. Write about committing suicide BUT not from your point of view...write it as if suicide was a real thing and had thoughts...what is it thinking, why is it doing this, etc...
5. Write a poem about society or the world...what you think about it, what are the problems with it, what are the good things, etc...
6. Write a poem based on or inspired by your favorite movie, or a movie you really like, here are some options if you can't think of anything
- Nightmare before christmas
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show
- the breakfast club
- Any harry potter movie/book
- Tristan and Isolde(in theaters now..if you haven't seen this I very much recommend it, its a wonderful movie)
7. write about an addiction you or someone you know has..(any addiction)
***Rules***
1. cuss as much as you fuckin want but make sure it fits the poem
2. put which option you chose in your authors comments
3. write "candy coated cyanide" in your authors comments so i know you read the rules
4. commenting on mine or others in the contest poems is nice but of course not required
5. 2 poems per person 1 prewrite and 1 fresh write)
6. HAVE FUN!!!

1st - 1000 points
2nd - 150 points (may go up)
3rd - 50 points (may go up)
5 honorable mentions - applauds(may go up)

loads of options and options people can actually write about lol (sometimes i find difficult writing about some options sometimes) too bad its only one pre-write though, i'll see to a fresh write too. (one poem is ok though right?? they don't have to be two??)

I love Fall Out Boy, but I'm not sure what I think of you requesting we rewrite the lyrics. I mean, Pete's lyrics are always perfect. But that's a very creative idea and I it! I entered two poems. "Solar Eclipse of the Mind" is about society and stereotyping, "The Blade" is about suicide but is askew because it's written in first person without all of the insight. I hope you'll accept it.
