Contest- Pray For Baby

Okay, this is a contest that touches my heart! I've a friend of 30 years of age, she's had a bit of trouble having children. I've learned recently that she is expecting, and needs thoughts and prayers to help her hold on to this bundle of joy! I summon all my friends here at AP to send her thoughts, wishes, and whatever kind of prayer you subscibe to! I would like to offer this to her as a gift to hold onto forever. With the absolute kindness I have found here, the power we hold is amazing, and I know will mean much to all of our Gods' above! So, let us pray for her success with our words!

Rules:

1. If you use sticky caps, you are DQ'd!
2. No profanity!
3. No Erotica,,do I really even need to say that?
4. I reserve the right to remove CRAP! without comment.

I will not ask that you comment on any work including mine, I just want to give my friend all the best wishes from the best poets I have met in my life. This is important to her, and it is important to me to do this for her. Enough said.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to enter, sorry, pre-writes not allowed, I want fresh thoughts and prayers because it is specific. Her name by the way, is Mimi, his is Paul, in case you want to make it personal.

points
1st 300
2nd 100
3rd 50

And honorable mentions!

I would like to thank all4luv who donated 100 points to the contest. Sherry that was an awsome gesture, and will help with additional HM's at the end of the contest!

  • Rewards: Gold: 450
  • Final notes:
You guys really don't have a clue how hard this was to judge. Every entry had me in tears and I mean that. I did let the mother to be help me with the final judging because it really had me squirming. I want to thank you all so much for your blessed thoughts and prayers, and if you would like, please feel free to ask about Mimi and Paul at any time. I wish they made more colors, so that I could award more trophies, but this is what we have in the end.

There are five honorable mentions who will all be awarded 40 points from me, and they are:

From Our Hearts To God's Wish-Tmullins
    An Orchid Grows-Trancendental Baby
    Love For The Unborn-Mistic Moonlite
    My Dear Beautiful Child-TheRockerWhoLostAll
    Especially For You-DreamDarlin2u

Again, I want to thank all of you, because the entries were all fabulous!

I am asking for poems of good thoughts regarding a stressful pregnancy, with hopes of good wishes, very simple really. Think of it as a best wishes/congratulations greeting card!

I pray that Paul and Mimi have all the best luck in having this precious gift from above. I have wanted a baby for almost 7 years but I am young and still have plenty of time for that. Good luck Mimi and I hope to hear nine + or - months from now the name of this little baby

I am so glad to see someone on here doing something this special. I cry as I write this and hear my baby in the next room in his crib... I had trouble getting pregnant and know the heartache of loosing a child in the womb. I am thrilled for your friend and tell her to hang in there! God is great!

I was wondering if this was a poetry contest, or a short story. Just wondering because if it's alright with you, I could tell of a story of a woman who went through hardship to have a child and how she was blessed with being able to have one. Then a couple of wise words... Is this OK? Thanks very much and get back to me when you can!

I know that we are all hoping the best for this woman and her safety must be the first. I hope that she makes it all the way this time. My wife only needs 16 more hours to be a doulah. She has seen this condition and it is not as rare as it sounds. The procedure is not as risky as it sounds, but with that said, there is still risk when they have had miscarriages before. I wrote a poem and will post it shortly. Good luck to all the entrants, The Shaker

Very thoughtful of you to put this contest together, I am sure that just the idea itself is a great way to show her support and we all pray for God to give her strength and to give her unborn baby power and life.
    God bless you all.
