I want you to pretty much do as the title says, give me love poems. I feel like reading some good ones, so submit your best!
Rules & Suggestions
-Rules-
*No sticky caps or chat slang, drives me completely crazy
*You must have 7 or fewer trophies to enter. If this rule is violated, you are automatically disqualified.
*Please try your hardest to use good grammar and spelling, brownie points if I don't find a mistake.
*No more than two entries
-Suggestions-
*Any kind of poetry will do. I'm favoring dark poems a little bit, but I love any kind of love poems. Suicide poems are fine, I don't favor cutting too much though *hint hint
**I'm not a fan of rhymes. I probably won't pick a rhyming poem just to tell you now. I write free form, I feel I understand it better, I can't really help. I'm NOT saying that I completely DISLIKE rhyming poems, I just don't favor it very much. Just trying to give you guys a better idea of what I like.
Hope those aren't too harsh. Be sure to check back every now and then, I might change something, if it's very drastic, I'll try to make it as noticeable as I can.
Rewards-
1st-500 points
2nd-50 points
3rd-25 points
Don't have too many points to give out, but hopefully that'll do.
Get to writing my lovelies *whips* Just kidding. Give it your all.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING--I AM NOW ALLOWING PREWRITES. Mainly for the two or maybe it was three people that asked if they could enter prewritten poems under different names and I know the feeling of having the PERFECT poem to enter in a contest, but not being able to enter it because 'no prewrites allowed'. So I have changed my mind. Let there be prewrites! I would ask though, to please refrain from ones written earlier than November of last year. I've also changed one or two things in the rules so I would like for ya'll (don't be dissin' on the ya'll, I'm Arkansan) to re-read those as well just to kind of help you guys out on winning this.
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on January 7, 2006
- Rewards: Gold: 500
- Final notes: This was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be, but I'm glad that I had a good outcome.
I got down to the last four and I could NOT go without saying something about the fourth one..
1st-To a Lady, who constructed an exodus to Boots after breaking a nail by Vivi Amara
2nd-Wonderment between us by Audrey Tyler
3rd-rare birds by love-is-suicide
And an honorable mention, A Perfect Night by ShapphireHeart66. I couldn't go without mentioning your poem.
Thanks so much to everyone who entered. I really enjoyed judging this one and I'm sorry if I offended anyone with the 'not liking rhyming poems', wasn't really thinking and maybe I was being blunt, anyway, sorry again if anyone was offended.

I got an awesome poem that I would enter into this contest, but it seems I have more than 7 trophies. Well, anyways, I always love seeing people with fewer trophies given a chance. Good luck to everyone and good luck with your contest.
--Tim -
I have just one trophy, and would be able to enter your contest on that basis. I'll go away and gather my thoughts, then I'll come back and write.
-
I'm not usually into the whole 'love poem' scene, but when I read that you liked darker poems, it sparked my interest. My stuff's generally angsty, so maybe you would like a love-gone-wrong piece? Or something? I'll have a think about it.
-
Ahhh I'm so sorry to hear that. =( Hopefully you will find another contest you could put it in. Thanks for commenting.
-
Looking forward to your entry!
-
Ohhhh love-gone-wrong would be excellent. *giggles* Totally looking forward to what you produce. Good luck.
