I wanted so bad to do something different, and I got a great idea from a poet named malabu.
This is what I want: Imagine there were no mirrors in the world, none. You never seen yourself before, you have no idea what you look like, other than what other people have said about you.
How would you perceive yourself?
What would think you look like?
There really aren't rules, I am open to anything, just keep it with the contest.
I am allowing pre-writes with the off chance that someone already wrote about this, but if you enter something that has nothing to do with my contest I will kick the poem out.
I do not comment on poems until the end, but I will comment on all of them after the contest is closed.
Good luck!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 26, 2005
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: I closed this a little early cause I have had a really rough holiday, and this is my only free time. I had five that I loved, but only three could win, so my honorable mentions are
Ruining the Devils playground by Story of Redemption
A world of no Reflections by riverflow
All of these were awesome, I wish you all could win, thank you all!

Wow this is such a great idea..why are there so few orignial ideas like this..I'm definitly going to enter i have bookm arked this page and will be (hopefully) putting my poem on a bit later. Looks like you haven't had much intrest so far..but if i stumbled across it then im sure that you will get loads of people interested..not sure about the first poem that you have at the moment..not sure that I see the connection..it will probably dawn on me later and I will think myself to be so stupid for not seeing it..or it might not be connected...Anyway keep the great ideas coming.Anna

hey, this is definitely one of the most original contests ever!
I really wanna join in, but this will be challenging, so I've gotta produce this poem out of thin air. This will be really thrilling, thanks for the terrific idea. I've read some of the poems, and they are great! I see many of you guys have a really nice view of yourselves, and also a poetic one. Good luck to all of you! -
This is a really interesting idea - Im working on an entry now for it - best of luck to everyone that's already entered in it - this could turn out to be really good!

I have been storing this contest in the back of my mind for some time now, and luckily I stumbled upon it again tonight. I will definitely applaud this, because there are just so many stale and repetitive contests out there these days but you've brought a brilliant one to the table again. I am really very honored to be able to enter this.
I hope that you enjoy my entry, and I just wish you the very best in judging. Have a very wonderful, blessed holiday season.
