This is my 4th contest for those of you who keep track...
Pretty simple I am looking for the Witchy Ones and the Goddess Children.
I have begun to think there are a lot of you pagan people here as I often come across some of your poems, but no one has offered up a contest for us yet and with all the contests focusing on christian spirituality i was thinking it was about time. So here it goes our first pagan inspired contest!
You can write about your personal dieties or your relationsips with them, you can write a spell, as long as you think about karma and give me only good natured ones. You can write me a pagan story or retell an old story of the Gods and Goddesses but make sure its changed up a bit. You can write a yule ritual. You can write a nature tribute full of faries wood nymphs silkys or other helpers of mother earth. You can write me a meditation with the Gods or Goddesses or both. You can write me a chant or a song or a summoning, but again only good kinds of summonings. Basically this is your time to be inspired by the Goddess and write me something rich with texture and emotion. Feel free to dance naked and sing out the spells of old Our full moon has risen and I want to feel your moments of Goddess Joy.
This contest is open to any one not just pagans I know I have entered a few 'spiritual' or 'christian' contests and so I envite you all. But I am not interested in people who want to preach The Bible to me I know all about your God and believe me this is not the forum and your poem will not place if you write a bashing or preachy poem. I do not however believe in DQing any one so your welcome to enter a bashing poem if you want to, although I dont know why you would enter a contest where you wont win.
There is a lot of nudity and nature in the pagan ways for those of you who dont know, so if you have included nakedness please put a warning in your two line about poem box lets protect the innocent. Also all native american, and middle eastern storys can be influencial if you whish to use them here.
Personally I feel stories dont get enough credit and need a bit more attention so I would prefer a good story any length. But seeing how most dont have the time poems are fine too.
Now for the rules
1> no chat speak sticky caps or capitolizing every word. I dont see how that adds to anything to the poem or story and makes it hard on me to read so please save my eyes.
2> dont make me highlight again save my eyes.
3> if you use curs words or erotica put a warning in the 2 lines about your poem box, I am old enough to read it all and i even write some of it but there are eyes on here who are not old enough protect them please.
4> ONLY 1 ENTRY per person as i am now allowing prewrites
This contest will be open until i get enough entries since there are a lot of my hard earned points here up for grabs.
Optional guidlines
1> read something of mine. if you write a story read a story if you write a poem read a poem. and leave a good comment on it. I have been known to give extra points to those of you who enter and read one of my stories. this will stand in this contest too. as i feel stories should get as much credit as poems and often dont. I have a list of stories I will include and tell you the point value you will get for entering and reading them. read down a little further for the list.
2> read each others and leave good valuable comments. I am going to do a lot of extra work on this one but I will awasrd 100 points for the person who gives the most and best critiques on each others works. my one stipulation is that you must enter to be eligable for any of these extra points as I have had people ask for points from a contest without entering.
3> I cant spell worth a darn, so I wont notice your misspellings but since I am asking that you read each others you may want to hit the button to help make them happy there are some spelling nuts on here who think grammer and spelling are what makes a poem.
4> There are 4 death traps to all poets and I personally think they should never be written about and they are love death loss and hate, so if you wnat to enclude these elements in your poems and sroies make sure that you make it better than i have ever read before.
5> I invest a lot of time in my contests and now its your turn to help me out you can send me a vote IM for your favorites I will make a note and give a peoples choice award with 100 points to the favorite among you all. you will have untill 2 days after the contest closes to send me your votees.

OK you can have a prewrite but it better be better than any other thing you can do as that means my points may go to lazy people. I dont usually like prewrites in my high point contests but i want lots to judge from. so i am amending it and allowing them.

- Final notes: first of all i want to apoligise to all of you for taking 1/2 of forever to judge these poems. let me explaine why it has taken so long. i share my computer with my sweetheart a fellow poet of all poetry who has a sence of humor that is not favored by many of the attendents of this site. just after my contest closed he got baned from ap for 3 days. then we were up and running for 2 days in which time i was barely able to get all of your votes for the peoples choice award. and he got in to trouble again and was banned for a week. then i began to read all of these poems and asked him to help me to judge them as he had kept me from them for far to long already. and would you believe it that 1/2 way through all of your poems the power went out here and killed my progress until today when i could finish the judging. so i want to thank you all for being so patient with me. ok now on to the winners and the points which i know you have all been waiting so patiently for.
gold cup and first place is for 500 points and is awarded to the entry Dawn by: Mellisandre. this story made me cry and that is one of 3 things ever on this site to do that. so well done. that takes a lot and you did it with your beautiful and touching story brovo.
silver cup and 300 points is for the entry Humans Ain't Tools by: Deiago who cleaverly hid all the major arcana tarrot cards into the poem. i am a big time tarrot reader so this clever entry impressed me a tun. well done. i dont know if many others cought on to what you did.
bronze cup and 200 points is going to The Birth of The Rede and The Law by: DK akaLuniticSerene. this was just barely edged out by the second place winner as i wanted to give silver to both of these, but the reason you got third instead of second is becasue this poem inscedently won the peoples choice award too and that gives it anothter 100 points so i wanted to spend the second place points on another title that way i could give you both 300.
peoles choice as mentioned aready is for 100 points and went to my third place winner.
honerable mentions in no particular order will be awarded 50 points each and are for the following works:
