This is my first contest so be gentle.
I would like to make a collection of poems for my father for Christmas. I’m tired of giving him the same old stuff. I promise you will receive any and all credit for your work.
Options:
1. A loving poem about your father
2. Something about rowing—he loves to row
3. Father-daughter poems
4. His father (my grandfather) has ALS/ Lou Grehrigs so anything you feel that may be appropriate under that category
Rules:
1. No sticky caps
2. No internet slang
3. No bashing of anyone or anything of any sort. This will qualify you for immediate disqualification.
4. No swearing or erotica—remember this is for my father
~prewrites are permitted
~you don’t have to comment on any of my stuff—I know that can be a pain sometimes
I will try to judge this as quickly as I can--I’m a junior in high school—free time is a foreign concept

- Final notes: Thank you to everyone who entered. This conest was very diffcult to judge as you all entered great works. I had to go back and reread everything mulitple times. Remember I will give everyone credit.

Soo....are the three that you choice going to be in the book? Or is it every poem that entered, and then some of yours.

All of them will be in a book. I mean, it's a just a thing I'm putting together for my father--nothing big. Yeah, I'm putting some of my own stuff in there too.
