OK. This adorable little baby is my best friend's daughter. She was born December 6th at 1:42PM. Her name is Alexa Lainy.
What I want for this contest is simple. I was GREAT poetry about babies. None of them sad please. I want nothing but happy or funny ones. Just anything about babies, but nothing sad. Or inspirational poems about being a single mom. She's a single mom.. her ex bf is an as*hole who broke up with her and left for the army. Now she's got to raise this baby alone.
I'm wanting to make a small collection of poems and give it to her for Christmas. If I can use your poem please let me know if the author's comment, if not let me know also.. if there's nothing in the author's comments then I'll assume I can't use it and I wont. All credit will be given to the author though if I am allowed to use it.

- Final notes: Thank you EVERYONE for entering my contest. I did have a hard time judging these because they were all great. I'm sorry that you all could not have gotten a trophy for these. I would also like to thank the ones who are allowing me to use their poem to put into my collection I've gathered to give to my best friend, Sara. She'll really appreciate it and I promise you that you'll get full credit for the work. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to judge the contest, but I had surgery on Monday and was not strong enough to make it to a computer long enough to judge the entries. I have a poem I wrote for my little girl born on October 18th... its my favorite piece yet and you can use it if you like even though I am not gonna enter it in the contest (its a pre).. tell your friend best of luck with her little one! and to stay strong.. babies always give us a new reason to go on
