Analyze THIS... [Contest]

I decided to hold a new contest, open for anyone, but I want to do something different this time...

WHAT I WANT:
What I want you to do, is to analyze one of my poems. Easy? Well, I want you to write it as a poem. A poetic analysis of one of my poems. I also wanted you to make it in the same style as the original, but decided that it was too hard for you...

       Summary:
1: Analyze one of my poems,
2: but write it as a poem.

AND THE CATCH:
I want you to write in the Author's Comment which poem you've analyzed, or I will disqualify your entry. I would be greatful if you comment the poem your analyze, but it is not a must... You don't have to comment on any other entries, but I would be a nice gesture... No prewrites, erotica, adult, adult humor, abuse, or cutting/suicide poems!

IMPORTANT: Add to Author's Comment which poem you analyzed, or your entry will be *disqualified*!

THE PRIZES:
First place, worth 500 points, goes to the one I feel have managed to hit bullseye on analysis, and have managed to copy the style of my poem. Second place is worth 250 points, and thrid place is worth 100. There will be three Honorable Mentions worth 50 points each!

If you have any questions, please IM me, and I will answer as soon as possible. Good luck in the contest!

UPDATE: No longer has to be in same style as the original poem...

Interesting idea for a contest, and one I'd probably participate in if it weren't for the shameful fact I'm so far behind on paying back favors to people who read my work... although I really do like to analyze people by their poetry (and author's comments about their poems). I'm sure you'll get more entries and they'll be really amusing at least, if not eye opening. Well, enjoy judging and good luck to all the entrants!

Thanks, NeverGiveUp. (I won't! ) I hope you manage to find time to join this contest. There's plenty of time, it ends on November 15th, fourteen days from today. Thanks for the comment! Jim

Woah, scary hard contest. I don't know if I'd be able to accomplish what you're looking for, so I think I'll give it a miss. Although, if I have a change of heart (and brain stamina), I'll come back. I hope you find what you're looking for!

This is definately a different type of contest. I like that you are making thiem do it in the same style, it makes it so hard to do. I on the other hand cannot analyze the back of my hand critically more less your poems. Best of luck to all who enter. ~val~

Thanks, Val! Yes, I wouldn't make it TOO easy to win the gold. High prizes, high stakes. I've got short and easy poems to analyze, and I have long and hard poems to analyze, something for every taste... I guess there will be mostly entries of the easy type. Thanks for the comment, and I hope to see your entry, even if it's of my shortest poem. Jim
