This Contest is for the group Left Behind by the ones you love, but is also open to all of Allpoetry. My group members deal with a lot, we all do at some point. As writers we tend to be more emotional then some. Tell me about your life, your past, what you've been through. Vent, heal, express. It'll help, even if it's only a tiny bit, I promise.
Choices
1. Many of us have lost a best friend, or someone that meant the world to us to death. Whether it be because of suicide, or if they got hit by a car, for whatever reason, they're gone. Write about how their death effected you, and how you deal with it.
2. Each of us has a person they'd do anything for, including die. If you had to die to save someone else, who would it be, and why?
3. Write about dying from a broken heart. In my opinion it's very possible, because it almost happen to me about a year or so ago.
4. Write about losing a friend because of another reason other then death. Whether it be drugs, or a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. What happen? Where did things go wrong?
Rules
1. Chat lingo gets annoying, and takes away a lot of feeling from your poem. Use propper english, and spell check while you're at it please.
2. Please don't swear a lot. I mean, I know I do sometimes in my poetry, and you could be venting, just don't over do it.
3. Put what choice # and choice in your authors comments, and explain to me in detail what happen, and why you picked the choice you did.
4. If you can, it'd be nice if you commented on atleast one other poem, but its not a must this time.
5. If I allow you to enter a pre-write, comment on atleast two other people's poems, and one of mine.
1st place-300
2nd place-100
3rd place-50
Depending on how many entries I get, there will be honorable mentions going for 10+pts a piece.
