This is a contest for poets who love to write about love. I have found that writting love poems, both sad and dark along with blissful and joyous, have brought out the truest meanings in life. Now, for your part. Write me a love poem. Anything to do about love.
Judging:
1) If you choose to write a love poem of how great it is, make me feel the love flow from your words, so that I am not only reading words, but your soul. Pour it onto paper, and let it shine bright.
2) If you choose to write about the lonliness that love brings, let me feel hollow inside after I finish reading it. This is my favorite type of love poems. Spacific topic of lonliness, not seperation. Like the one you love being locked up, or in the army fighting in some distant land. This topic would be on my top list for winners if some can nail it.
3) If you choose to write a love poem in which you love has died, make me cry. I literraly want to be shaking from crying with the pain your words brings.
4) Seperation and breakup poems sould not be angry, though a small portion of anger is acceptable. Make me feel your loss.
5)Any other type of love poems should leave me feeling exactly how you feel. I want emeotion in this contest
I will judge this contest mostly on my reaction to the poem, and how much emotion it brings. Love is a very powerfull emotion so i want powerfull poems.
Rules:
1) you do not need to put any option numbers in you author notes, nor any oher part of the poem
2)Place, however, "butterfly" in you author comments
3) no AIM chat or sticky lettrs. swearing is allowed but not favored.
side notes:
It is always nice to comment on other entries, and if you comment on mine i will not only comment on your entry but two of your poems as we..
Points:
1st 300 plus gold
2nd 200 plus silver
3rd 100 plus bronze
+ honorable mentions
all tropy winners are added to my favorites and i will ocationally continue to read your work
Now, go to work. No prewrites, i want fresh new poems. If you have one poem youd like to submit, write another one 10 times better for me

- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: this was a hard contest to judge. i sorry it took so long, i was in jail for a few days. Anyway, i picked the winners a few simple things: No forced rhyming, easy flow and a powerful message i could relate well with. Connection and beauty. Thank you all for subbmitting.

You know? I hate how love poems are beginning to be looked down upon in this site because they have become 'cliche' Poems ARE love and love ARE poems...I am glad to see someone has not forgotten this!...I will be entering this sooon...but it seems I have been stingy in my commenting so I must get up to par with this...after that...I will delight you with my love!...haha
