Okay, I know that I just got done judging my last contest, but I think this time it should be about me for a change. I am always trying to brighten up someones day. But in the past couple of weeks, I have been working hard, and going through some really tough times. I need to feel happy and free again. I am going to give you a few choices, and I want you to write me nothing but happy poems.
Choices
1. My birthday is on October 7th and I will be 26. A lot of you know me on a personal level, and so many of you don't. But what I want is for you to write me a birthday poem..yeah, for me...hehe
2. I have two beautiful children by the names of Christopher and Cheyenne. They are the reason I breathe..I want you to write a poem for them...can be about anything as long as its happy.
3. Almost 50 people have me on their favorites list. If I am on your list, I want you to tell me why? What makes me worthy enough to be on your list.
4. I have a great love in my life. His name is Chris, and he is a wonderful man. I hope to always have him by my side and hope that one day I can call him my husband and be his wife. I want you to write me a poem on what it feels like to be loved. I don't want you to tell me what its like to have the one you love..but what its like to be loved...
5. This one is a little different, and I thought it would be a good idea. My screen name is Angel Of the Sky...but i have changed it so many times...lol...all the names I have had on this site are:
Heavenly Poet
Angle of your love
Proud Mommy
Needless love
Angel of the sky
Heavenly Sent Poet
Love is grand
I want you to take one of my screen names, use it in your title, and tell me what it means to you. As in Needless Love...what does that say to you?
6. I have been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. I want you to tell me about someone that has cancer that is close to you and what it does to you or that person. But if you chose this option, please don't tell me about someone that has died from cancer..keep your thoughts positive. My mother died from cancer and I don't want anything sad.
Rules
1. Please use a background that is not hard to see what the poem says, If i have to work at reading your write..I wont read it and your poem wont count. Sorry to be this way, but my eyes just wont handle it.
2. I am going to allow prewrites, but they must fit to the rules and what I am asking for.
3. Please only enter up to 3 poems, but only one of them can be a prewritten poem. I want new stuff...nothing old...if you enter a prewrite, it can only be 3 months old
4. NO BASHING...I will not put up with it. I am a happy and loving person, and I cant stand when someone bashes another ones poems.
5. Please have fun with this...I know that its really centered around me..but I never do this for me..always for everyone else...its time for me since its my birthday on Friday.
THIS CONTEST WILL CLOSE AFTER 30 ENTRIES!!!
Thanks for entering and I will do my best to get this judged as soon as I can. I am becoming a Moderator and I also have a full time job, so its kinda hard for me to judge the day the contest closes...

i have this poem entitled 'birthday madness'. it is a prewrite and i've already posted it... lol... too bad i can't enter it. again, as a cliche, i feel bad that i can't enter in this contest because i have no inspiration or in the mood to write a poem about having a birthday. Hehehehe, but anyway, i wanted to make u happy so, hehehehe... why dont u try reading it? lol i hope that when u read that, it would take all ur troubles away for just a minute or so... my poem is not that good by the way. it's kind of funny and i hope that u enjoy it. ~~~hehehehe.... u reminded me of my mom by the way...lol god bless to u and ur family!!! -
I wish you the best with your cancer. Hopefully, it will be a case where you get over it. I have diabetes and it seems natural for me to do what I do now...for I have done it since I was 2...but other people cannot believe my standard of living...taking shots over 3 times a day. I wish you the best!
