words and ideas can change the world.
for this contest, i want you to check out the word of the day. follow this link if you've never done it before. dictionary.reference.com/wordoftheday/
the contest will be open for two weeks so there should be fourteen to choose from.
i want you, now equipped with your word, to use it in, or as influence for, a poem.
rules:
it must be descriptive.
it must use some kind of clever word play at least once - simile, metaphor, whatever.
i prefer non-rhyming if possible, but if you must rhyme, it has to sound unforced.
no erotica unless absolutely vital to your word and your poem.
it must be your best. your very best. i want you to impress me, and gain my respect. please don't just enter for the points.
i prefer no sticky caps and text speak is absolutely not allowed.
please put your word in the author comments.
enjoy writing.
note:
not getting enough entries. if i don't have at lest five, i'll close it, because i want this to be an actual contest. not just giving out points.
thanks.

I love dictionary reference, this site is a writers best friend. I'll see how muse relates to the word of the day.

I found my word of the day: busker. I tried to write something but I got thrown off track by something that happened here. I'll try again tomorrow.
