"Place of Prayer" Group members only Contest #15

This  is the 15th contest for the members of the group I started,
"Place Of Prayer"

If you are not a member,
you may apply to be one by clicking the bible.

Not everyone is accepted.
The reason is simple, it isnt' for everyone.

I don't want to sound like I am judging,
because I am not. I wouldn't join a wiccan group,
and I don't think a wiccan would want to join this one.

Most of all
you must love Jesus,
 and believe in His Word.
Believer in the power of prayer to God Almighty,
in the name of
Jesus.

For this contest, I want poetic prayers or praises.
We all know someone who is in need of prayer,
so this is a time to say a special prayer for them.
Also, you can share your praises to our precious Lord.
You can rhyme or not, it can be in form or free verse.
The choice is all yours.

If you enter this contest, and are not a member of the group,
your entry will be removed immediately.
Anything vulgar, or that doesn't fit this contest will be
immediately removed as well.

I am not allowing prewrites because I want it to be a fresh,
and needed prayer, or desire to praise God.

I would like you to put who you are praying for in the authors comments...ie; a friend, a family member, a neighbor, etc.
You don't have to put their name in.
God and you know who the prayer is for.

It would be nice if you read all the entries, so you can join in
prayer or in praising our Lord.

You may enter as many times as you want.
I will not put a limit on prayer and praise.

BEST WISHES TO ALL WHO ENTER!!!!!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on September 2, 2005
  • Rewards: Gold: 300
  • Final notes:
Each and everyone of these prayers and praises are blessings to me. I have read them several times each, and they all are deserving of acknowledgement. I hope if you haven't already, that you read all of them. That is what these contest are really for, to pray and praise our Lord. We can join in the praise, and agree in prayer. There is power in prayer. Thank you all for entering...and Congratulations for having been blessed by The love of our Lord.

I feel it important to acknowledge to you that I don't judge these like I do my other contest. On which one is written the best, most creative and most flawless.
These are chosen, not judged; on love that fills the heart and need to seek prayer or give praise...It is hard for me to explain, but I think most of you, if not all of you; understand.

God bless you all, and I pray you keep supporting these contest with your praise, worship and prayer!!

Well, I have a question about this contest- how do you "judge" someone else's prayers? I'm not trying to be critical by asking that- just curious.

To answer your question, I don't "judge" anyones prayer. I "choose" ones that inspire me and stir my Spirit.

I don't believe the prayers are what she is judging. I've enjoyed participating in her contest and I think it offers the poet an opportunity for others to be in agreement in prayer.
Just responding to your reply, not trying to stir up anything

Thank you Sam for your wonderful prayer opportunity. These contests are great. My entry was not quite it though. Reading everyone else I realise that. God bless you all and congratulation to those that won.
